The bias is usually fairly transparent so I have no particular issue -- here kind of amazing he did not take time to dislike something that is pretty minor in the scheme of things -- so it must be a very good car.

@@briantii I'd say that Savageese is good, but more of a "traditional" review in that they take it on the road and whip them around, whereas AMD only really focuses the reviews on engine, components, what is good and what is not so good. I like a mix of both types, but if I'm looking at a certain vehicle to buy, I'll go to this channel as I can get the standard car salesman pitch/review of features on just about any channel on KZbin.

Because Ahmed is a master mechanic, this makes The Car Care Nut the best car review channel on all of KZbin. Ahmed knows how engines work. Ahmed sees every flaw and he accurately informs his viewers. As a previous Kia/Hyundai owner, that 10,000 mile 10 year warranty doesn’t mean much if the dealerships won’t honor them. They always find excuses to not cover something trust me

That's bc a lot of Hyundai/Kia owners are terrible with oil changes, abusing their cars. If you bring a car with sludge in the engine bc you didn't do an oil change in 10k miles, they're not going to honor the warranty.

Now all cars are going to have issues. The makes that had recent recalls are Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Ford, Chevy, Dodge. What I am getting at is if the car is designed and manufactured by humans there will be issues. So buy a Hyundai and enjoy the ride.

I bought a new 2021 kia K5 GT LINE with premium package in june of that year. While it only has 42.000 miles on it. It has been trouble free, AS IT SHOUD BE. It's a great driver, freeway cruiser, drove it from Southern California to Wilmington North Carolina this past summer. Was totally comfortable in every way. And , I got their 0.0 intrest loan they were offering so that is a sweet deal..I had purchased a new 2017 Hyundai Elantra that I kept to use for my 80 mile round trips to work to help keep the miles down on the K5. I retired this March. And though I hated to let it go I decided since I didn't need it to go ahead and sell it. Car still looked like new inside and, meticulously maintained. Had 104.000 miles on it. 0 repairs, 0 issues. I sold it for 7500 dollars, and the guy who bought it was super happy to get it. My previous kia spectras were both excellent, too.

What can you expect from a car for everyday driving, fur or crocodile leather? :) Regarding the shifter switch: very intuitive switching. And when they do, they cost around $43k with taxes and dealership price which totals about $47k, a price of rav4 prime xse lol. @@chibbyylol They are priced similarly when you fully kit them out. Camry has a lot of packages while Sonata does not. Trim wise, XLE and XSE are not as well equipped as the Limited. I totally agree! it is a shame because I have looked at many offerings specifically from Hyundai but could never go beyond looking because I HATE their approach to reliability. Agreed it's a refresh that doesn't quite work on the outside. Hyundai is clearly trying to move the Sonata into the "digital," blocky designs of some of the newer cars, but the Sonata is so swoopy that shoehorning in those elements into the front and rear doesn't gel.

I agree about the shifter. When I saw you shift into Drive, my first thought was turning it that way should be for Reverse. My Mercedes has a very simple lightweight lever that is either moved up for Reverse or down for Drive, because historically that's how it would have operated. Something else that doesn't make sense is to me is, I don't see why Hyundai needs a shift stalk at all when all it has is a twist knob on the end of it. I can't see buying this version as I think when they release a new Sonata the low points of this car will have been updated.

This may have already been mentioned but I believe the Rh driveshaft is hollow, a lot of other Hyundai's have it too like the 2 litre n/a tucson ( I'm in australia ) but I'm not 100% sure what it's for, my guess was that it was to help with tourque steer instead of having a bearing and support with equal length shafts.

How about a shop update video from time to time? What is your opinion on Hyundai’s current engine longevity? What’s the risk of carbon build up, considering the choice to only use direct injection? A while back I did some reading on Hyundai’s 1.6T - the one with all of the variable valve tech - and noticed that the injectors are mounted at a nearly horizontal angle. In theory they’d be able to spray on the intake valves as a crude method of washing them with a solvent (fuel). But I haven’t been able to find a definitive “we fixed it” statement anywhere.

The front looks nice, but the rear is a bit busy. I think this beats the catfish face any day. Hyundai has improved so much over the years. A good, unique and efficient hybrid system, going more upscale, new software and interior design is beautiful, and they have great materials and isolation for the segment. Very glowing review from a Toyota Master Tech like you, so it is great to see you being unbiased and giving props to Toyota's competitor.
