I can't believe that we are defending fruits. Seriously find me a person who got sick eating a lot of fruit while not restricting on other food groups. Berries are in season so lately throughout the day I eat up to 500 g of it (especially if I don't eat any sweets or snacks that day) and I feel great. With all the processed food we consume, medications and supplements we take should we really worry about fruit? My Croatian perspective might be wrong but I don't think America got obese on fruit diet.

Yes you can get diabetes from fruit. It is SUPER rare and usually is from people drinking orange juice like it’s water it isn’t actually from eating fruits!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
@valnea822 жыл бұрын
@@marissapalmer5866 not a nutritionist but I don't consider any kind of juice as fruit or vegetable. That's practically a liquid candy or treat. You would never eat amount of whole oranges you generally put into a glass or two of orange juice
@marissapalmer58662 жыл бұрын
@@valnea82 it is literally 100% fruit juice that can cause it. It’s the same mentality of saying that all sugar is bad when the sugar in fruit isn’t the same to the body as added sugar. It truly just depends on the fruit orange juice and eating oranges does it because the glycemic index in them is so high. Like I said it isn’t as common but definitely can happen. The reason juice is “considered” bad is because it is so easy to drink passed your calorie or sugar limit then eating fruit but it has no added sugar the sugar is just the sugar from the fruit minus the fibre really.

"What the fruit" 🤣 loved it. 8 years ago when I weight trained seriously, the trainer told me to not eat fruit. So I had a bad mentality about fruit for years. But I gotta say my breath was the freshest it had ever been while doing low carb. Last year, watching Athlean-X, Coach Greg, and Will, they changed my mentality about carbohydrates including fruit. It was really a gift to see the light and not live with such food restrictions. In the summer, instead of ice cream, it was really nice to have frozen berries with a dollop of canned whipped cream on top! Totally satisfies the frozen treat craving. (I gotta thank Jeff Cavaliere for opening my eyes about canned whipped cream, measuring by weight, you get so much for not many calories.)

When picking watermelon, I always get the precut ones so 1/4 a whole watermelon, so I base which one to buy on the red colour inside (Australia has seedless watermelon so a double bonus!). Fructose is metabolized differently than glucose and sucrose. Fructose goes straight to the liver and turns to fat (as it should b/c fruit is designed to fatten mammals up for winter like fatty nuts and carby root veg) But when the liver is prioritizing fructose (or vodka) it can't burn off body fat simultaneously. It's one or the other at a time, not both. The body doesn't know if the fructose you are giving it is from whole fruit, HFCS, or juice. The dose makes the poison so fruit is best in GARNISH sized amounts to mimic how you'd find it in nature.... not a 32 oz smoothie, two HUGE Gala apples etc. But a small handful of berries a day. The liver can handle about 65 grams of fructose a day. I learned all of this via Thomas DeLauer/Sten Ekberg/David Sinclair and the likes. Grapes are HIGH glycemic and will keep blood sugar up for HOURS and you can't burn off body fat when BS is elevated, again - one or the other but not both at the same time. The Blue Zone study was debunked as the author CHERRY PICKED all his data. Sad.

A good watermelon will make an echoey once u slap or knock on it. As far as I know,bit is an indicator the skin is thin and therefore ripe. Also the place where the watermelon used to connect with the plant, dunno what's called, should be dry or not as soft and green. The last thing is the yellowy-light spot the we usually find in watermelons, it should be as small as possible.

Sugar isn't sugar isn't sugar. The NHS for instance doesn't particularly worry about natural sugars that are a part of milk or fruit. They mostly want us to cut down on 'free sugars' added to biscuits etc. The sugars bound up in natural foods are less available to get at the teeth. They also don't tend to be in high calorie foods we need to cut down on.

what can I use to sub for the oat bran? I have coconut flour, oat flour, oats, weetabix, etc
@MamaTenny2 жыл бұрын
Hi there! I’d say the coconut flour or the oat flower as opposed to the other two only because there’s already a lot of texture in the quinoa and the oat bran was much finer and it all bound together quite well. Give it a go and let me know 😘

I’ve always eaten kiwis 🥝 with the skin on! It’s good for you and it’s kinda like eating a squishy apple 😹

I was truly shocked at how good it was Arthur! Not to mention how much of the fruit I wasted trying to peel them! 🥝🥝🥝 Appreciate you watching!

How funny, I eat so much fruit! I have protein oats or greek yogurt parfait almost every morning and I top it off with about 180 grams of strawberries and 60 grams of blueberries 😆 and I wouldn’t have it any other way!!

Sweet mama (respectfully Will don’t hate me…) first off getting sugar from fruits is the best form of sugar. Hell it’s the best. Watermelon is the best fruit God created. Thank Him for this amazing fruit.

Mama Tenny, what macro percentage would you recommend?
@MamaTenny2 жыл бұрын
Hi there my friend! I truly don’t track macros!! I just look for overall healthy food. Always include lean protein, lots of fruit and veggies, whole grains and I stay low on sugar ( but not no sugar and I’m not crazy about it!) Moderation truly is my motto!! Watch your calories and then fit in good healthy choices into your overall day 😘

If we lived our lives based on KZbin comments then we would all be in big trouble! Makes good content though 😀 My guess is you are much healthier than a vast majority of your detractors! The proof is in the pudding and other trite phrases. (mmm pudding)

@MamaTenny Жыл бұрын
Truth be told, me too!! I just didn’t think that I’d polish off a container of raspberries, blueberries, blackberries all in the same seating! Then again… 🤣😂🍓🫐

I'd love a video on your fitness history. Were you always into fitness from a young age?

Yes!! I spoke about it in passing on my original video from a couple of months ago but I think this is a great idea, thank you!!

@@MamaTenny wonderful ❤. I remember you mentioning that your family weren't the healthiest so I was curious what set you down the path to being who you are today. Love your videos and thank you for starting your channel.
