How are you, really? Award-winning podcast host and bestselling author, Nora McInerny, wants to know the truth. Drawing on her personal experiences with grief - Nora lost her husband, second pregnancy and father within weeks of each other - and her years of interviewing people struggling with trauma and change, Nora is known for taking on topics often avoided - death, loss, illness, mental health, trauma and change - with disarming humor and candor. Tisch College hosted Nora on March 13, 2024 for a refreshingly honest and surprisingly funny talk called “How Are You? (No, Really.)”
Nora McInerny is the creator and host of the podcasts “Terrible, Thanks For Asking” & “It’s Going To Be OK," and the TED speaker known for her viral talk, “We Don’t Move On From Grief, We Move Forward With It.” The author of several bestselling books including "Happy-ish," "Bad Vibes Only: (and Other Things I Bring to the Table)," and "Bad Moms: The Novel," Nora’s writing has appeared in The New York Times, TIME magazine, The Washington Post, and more.
