Watch this video to learn more about the Lionfish and what they do to our eco system.
• Spearfishing LIONFISH ...
This ever so invasive venomous Lionfish is more than just beautiful to look at; it's one of the best tasting fish when served sashimi style and who better to show you how it's done other than Master Sushi Chef Hiroyuki Terada.
With an extremely hard push to rid our oceans of this fish, we have decided to begin serving this fish in the coming months, but this was our first real experiment to see this fish up close and to see how to present it to our patrons coming in to enjoy this delicious eating white fish.
If you haven't seen how they actually catch these fish, KZbin it and see how these fish aren't even scared of anything that approaches them. With venomous spines all over this fish, it's no wonder.
Take a look at this video... • Spearfishing LIONFISH ...
To find out everything about lionfish, visit www.lionfish.co You can even track them and hunt them to help save our reefs and other fish as well. They have an interactive map that logs all lionfish sightings and whereabouts so check them out at www.lionfish.info

Chef Chad haha ikr, he messed a lot of times n the flesh at some are tearing/ broken, the way he cut them into 2 pieces first then removing the skin when it's actually can be done by removing the skin first then cut it into 2 pieces, that way it'll less meat got thrown tho ofc require a lot more knife skills

I don't know why so many people are disagreeing with the way he handles his fish, he's a Master Japanese Chef. Pretty sure he knows the right and wrong things to do when making fish meals. I'm sure the people making comments are the ones who get cheap fish from fast food restaurants handled with gloves from like 8 hours before their meal is cooked. Using your bare hands is a lot better than gloves. Also most of the people being judgemental probably have no knowledge in cooking, so what their saying is just something false they made up. But leaving it on a good note, I love the way you cook in your kitchen Chef. Very, very good work and careful with the fish. Binge watching your videos at the moment, so satisfying!

I've had Lionfish twice when I was in Las Vegas a couple years ago. One time it was as Sashimi alongside a few others like Eel and Salmon. The second time was with Lemon and various herbs and roasted. Absolutely delicious! 😋

Can be a bite or a sting to meet the definition of venomous. In this case the lion fish stings potential predators with the spines of their fins. However, you are also correct because consuming this fish also is dangerous, thus making it poisonous as well.

the thing a lot of people don't realize about these fish is that they aren't actually deadly. sure they have venom but its not a deadly sting its just an EXTREMELY painful one, but if you do get stabbed by one it will swell and just let the area soak with either a wet hot towel or a bowl of warm water
