Awesome 😎 workout 🏋️♀️ nice and sweaty 🥵 lol. Thanks Vera I don’t see how you put those weights directly on your shoulders I have to put a towel down then the weight lol🤣🤣🤣🤣. I use anywhere from 20-30 pounds and that just hurts my shoulders without the comfort underneath especially with that kind of heavy weight. So glad you enjoyed it!! Aah. For some reason I don’t feel any discomfort from that - thank you for pointing that out!! Must be just the way my bone structure is. You can definitely use a towel ! Or you can hold a dumbbell by your side as well - I personally often switch to the hold on top of the shoulder because my wrists often give out before my legs do from holding the weights… either way you do it - you’re going to crush it!

This was an even better workout the second time around! I remember doing the windmill move the first time and thinking "this move is insane (as I nearly crumpled to the floor beneath my 8lb db) and this lady might be trying to kill me and my back." I don't think that anymore and I used my 10lb and didn't feel uneasy at all! You are the best Vera 👌 💪

There is nothing quite like a sweat fest to start and prepare you for your day. The 4 mins was a killer, this was super super tough, but I completed it. It was great just to concentrate on one set of dumbbells throughout the workout. I especially liked the booty band section. I so welcomed the bell at the end, Thank you Vera.

I loved this and my heart rate was up! Question, when you put the weight on your shoulder for the one leg curtsy, is it ok to hold it by your side? Is there a different benefit from holding it at your shoulder? Thank you!

So glad you enjoyed it! And Absolutely!! You can hold it by your side as well. I often alternate between the side hold and the shoulder hold. Sometimes, especially towards the end of the workout, my wrists give out before my legs do from holding the weight - so I switch to the shoulder. There’s minimal differences in muscle activation. Someone above also suggested putting a towel on your shoulder for support. Another alternative - if you have a kettlebell - is to use a kettlebell and hold it behind your shoulder, so it kind of hangs. I hope that makes sense 😅 Either way you do it, it’s great 💪

Another fantastic workout! I ended up feeling fatigue in my low back during the RDL/courtsey squat rounds but expected to feel it in my hammy's. I may have week hammy's, but am curious why the low back would fatigue - maybe it compensates for the weak hammys?

It’s hard to say of course since I’m not there looking at your form but could be a number of things - but as long as it’s not accompanied by pain, nothing to worry about, some fatigue is normal. Generally, not engaging your core can cause your low back to work in overdrive for RDLs. Similarly, weaker glutes can also cause your back to compensate for exercise like curtsy lunges. Focus on engaging your core and keeping a neutral back 🤍

Make sure you are taking rest days per the program calendar. There’s a rest day before and after each dumbbell full body day,, I strongly encourage you to take them so you’re not training the same muscles multiple times a day 🤍 keep crushing it 💪

I did my first day today and it was exhilarating! I was dripping with sweat. I have been doing HIIT workouts for 5 months now and no one can see any weight loss, I can't either. I just feel better and stronger. I heard weight training might be best for weight loss at my age (45). Any advice?

Great job!! You’re going to love the program! Weight loss is all about your diet, so that’s the first place I’d look! You can see a few of my what I eat in a day posts here and on IG - my main focus is always protein 💕

Day #2 is done! I started out today with heavier weights than yesterday and I feel great! My a## is going to hurt tomorrow 😂
