We rescued a bichon-poodle in 2008 and he's still with us at age 16! He's been an amazing part of our family and we will miss him terribly when he's gone.

Great advice for enjoying the Holiday Season, by cognizant gifting. We need to focus on knowing that we didn't contribute to either our own downfall, or anyone else's. One of our go-to rules, is only give something that we would be happy to receive ourselves. A basket of mixed fruits and veggies is always nice.

Your gift rule is very wise! Last year I melted peppermint candies together and made bowls out of them and filled them with chocolates to give to all of the service people in my life, like the mailman. The peppermint candy bowls aren't at all a trigger for me, actually the peppermints from last year sat in a bowl on my coffee table all year long... So we made a peppermint candy garland for Snoopy Tree. The chocolates however are an entirely different story! So this year I'm filling the bowls with herbal tea bags and cinnamon sticks!

Most of my friends know not to buy me alcohol beverages since I'm trying not to drink for my health. I am a private hairdresser, and sometimes my clients will gift me alcohol, not knowing any better. Self love. You are awesome. Keep strong. Thank you for the inspiration.

Oh Heather you are a beaming ray of light to me… I just love you and your positive spirit, humor and sound advice… I think that is awesome advice about food… I recently saw some thing I traditionally buy every year and was so tempted to grab it (stollen) to give as “gifts?) 😉but thankfully my conscience was with me and I knew I’d eat them all if I brought them home... so I didn’t. It’s funny how the brain tries to trick us into thinking will give them away but honestly I am not seeing anyone at Christmas this year so who am I trying to kid? LOL So, thank you so much for all you do to make the world a better place… I wish you lived in my area I think we would be great friends! I feel so close to you in spirit and think you are AWESOME! I am wishing you love, happiness, and peace this holiday season🎄❤️ thank you again. xoxo Linda

those are so sweet doggies !! I laughed out loud, when u said, "now we know the secret to your complexion " lol.. i have 2 house kitties, one licks me all the time, i actually do not like the wetness of being licked !! YIPPEE !! Another lb gone. I too managed to lose another one, 96 now, 4 more to go !! I can hardly contain myself & guess what !? I commented on Chef AJ's video & she said "let us know when u hit ur goal of 100" !! She is so busy, but never fails to reply back, bless her. Good point, 1 lb at a time, 100-200 times. But then u said "where would i be, if i don't" You always say the most profound things !! & i love it. See, there u go again. About not making it as a gift, if it is something that would tempt us. And yes, amazon can send it for u . Yes, i never give food or drink. And even tho i am not craving, say, chocolate, etc., i would not want any for gifts. Again, so much more to enjoy than food, all yr long really. . Yes, not really a treat, if it made me that sick & fat & feeling like i wouldn't of cared, if i did die. . I am really liking my new slim, leaner body & liking what i see in the mirror, for the first time in 40 yrs, but going back 55 yrs of this battle. Yes, brain washed. I love u too Heather, so glad i found u , thru Chef AJ, actually . Super great vid, as always ! take care & stay safe xo all lives matter ❤️💪🏾❤️🙏🏾💪❤️ ❤️👍🏻🙏🏻💙❤️💪 PLANT STRONG 🥦🍠🌽🥬🍅🥒🧄🥕 L❤️VE 💋 there is magic in them there veggies & fruit !! hehe but it's true !! ❣️❌⭕️

I realized after I made the video that I was early! I helped my elderly neighbor set up her menorah so I thought it had started. Well today at sundown I wish you light and love and miracles.

Hi Heather. I loved seeing your dogs. Congratulations on the continued weight loss!! I agree with your idea of not sharing treats for presents. My only suggestion that would make it work is to gift spices. These would encourage healthy recipes and spark good ideas for the giver and the recipient. It’s always nice to spice things up😄

That's a great idea! My best friend makes me spice blends of herbs from her garden that she freeze dries and I love love love it. You are brilliant!

Good idea, Heather. I don’t give food gifts because I know most of what people would like is not healthy anyway. Also, I love your viewpoint on why your skin looks so amazing and I have to agree with you! 🥰

Really nice chair you have! What brand is it? And good tip about not giving food - too emotional for me!
@jilll9343 жыл бұрын
I understand what you’re saying but I love giving /getting food gifts bc I hate “stuff” so everything I own has to be purposeful. I like consumable gifts. I rarely like the food gifts bc I’m picky but I give them away. Another suggestion would be bath stuff bc it gets consumed but you don’t eat it.

I wonder if the kind of support that is a useful tool in my toolbox includes staying away from weighing myself and not equating life sustaining food behaviors as being” good”. My being good is more centered on staying outside of resentful sarcastic headspace. And listening to my loved ones when my they talk to me. Being silent and on an even keel.
