Season three. This is where the show runners go pro on cliffhangers. There's going to be a few episodes where you're going to want to watch the next one.

When the Somnambulist was launching from Ganymede and being challenged by the Martians, they showed us that Naomi with her hidden torpedo on her computer screen. That was when she was transmitting the coordinates to Johnson. Remember the hybrid on Ganymede had a bomb in its chest that it didn't know about. This one did know about the bomb and removed it pre-emptively. Prax had to wait until the last possible moment; if he'd tossed the warhead too soon, it would have gone out of reach and the hybrid would have gone back to the reactor. The scientist Cortazar told them that the Protomolecule was building something, counting down. Proto-Julie had said, "You can't stop the work." So, the Protomolecule is working its own eons-old plan, which certainly doesn't include what Strickland is doing. Speaking of Strickland, they gave us enough information to know where he and Mei are. Reminder: Episode 6 of season 3 is the finale of book 2. That's the real finale of the current story.

Yes, this is a season finale, but it's not a book finale. Need to remember this show does not follow the tropeds of other shows.

Much better audio this time! I think most people actually liked the finale. But, the show ends at book 6, and there's no attempt to cram the last 3 books into the final season (which is good, I think). Season 4 is often regarded as people's least favorite season, and the weakest of the books as well.

Welp, that was a great reaction! I may never see a blow up doll the same way. Back when people were saying 'take notes' what they meant was a lot of questions you have now were addressed in earlier episodes. You just didn't have the context at the time to understand how important their exposition was. Dresden, Mao, Stricky dick and CrazyCort filled in some big clues. Most fans say season 3 is best. But I'm going with season 2. Josephus Miller went out like a Boss. RIP.

If somebody is in love with a TV series, having it end and go away is going to hurt, and hurt a lot, so the landscape at that time is going to always seem more than a little bleak. That's the only explanation I can come up with to explain whey anybody would complain about the series finale. Compared to every other beloved show (Sopranos, GoT, Breaking Bad, etc.), The Expanse found a truly satisfying and rational way to wrap up many stories (and leave some dangling for future development). I suppose people might also be angry at the small number of episodes in s.6. Thirteen would have been better received, and six might be viewed as a half-full glass.
