Actually avocado is better combined with a carbohydrate. It actually impedes the digestion process if you have it with protein.

I mostly eat avocados with only black pepper but sometimes I mashed it, and add thinly sliced onions, black pepper, crushed garlic, olive oil and a little salt then, mixed and have it with 2 thin slices of almond and coconut flour bread; it's very filling and delicious!

I grow organic heirloom tomatoes and, since watching you recently, enjoy them peeled and seeded, chopped up in my salad with avocado and lots of other good things. Costco has the best avocados ever, but the 6 in the bag ripen all at once. As soon as they are barely ripe, I put 1 whole unpeeled avo in a pint sized mason jar and then vacuum seal it with a mason jar sealer and put it in the frig (amazon has one for $30). Then, whenever I'm ready for an avo, it's perfectly ripe and delicious. Just a lil tip for ya.

Do the benefits of the avocados off-set the rather high ratio of inflammatory linoleic acid (Omega-6 versus Omega-3)?
@allhimwithme5115
@allhimwithme5115 11 ай бұрын
The benefits must be worth it unless you think Dr. Gundry isn't aware of the fat constituents of avocados. Also, it isn't an inflammatory ratio unless you're already packing your diet with Omega 6 fatty acids like with French fries.
@Chippoka
@Chippoka 11 ай бұрын
@@allhimwithme5115 The linoleic acid content dwarfs the omega 3 content (according to some other videos about it in the Low Carb Community; i.e., Paul Saladino MD). As a staple daily, it may be a bit much, even if on a good diet, if one is still dealing with various inflammatory issues. Just saying. I suspect the benefits out-weigh the negatives of the high linoleic acid

Your jacket button is really struggling to hang on. I suggest cutting back a little on the avocados and olive oil. I know from experience that if I eat all the avocados and olive oil I want, I will have a higher body fat than I want. I'm at 12-13% body fat now. You appear to be 30-35% body fat which is considered obese. I know you used to be heavier, so you have improved since then which is good.

No, but the fact is that we can't eat a _perfect_ diet today. You have to decide how much you want to tax your liver which is one of your best cleansing organs along with the only organ that metabolizes fat. I drink a glass of organic wine on occasion...same thing. Oh, and if you mean straight up that's obviously not nearly as bad as in a mixed (TOXIC) drink that's not only hard on your liver from the alcohol but the fructose in sugar, too.
