There's no way that Josh isn't genius level intelligent. Most comedians take quite a while, on quite a few different stages, to work out a set and still have to bring notes on stage to remember where they're going next. This man is coming out with brand new 20-30 min sets every week and just performing them flawlessly. I can't even begin to comprehend how he does it. He certainly is the voice we need right now. Can we get this man the millions of subscribers he deserves, please?!

Josh can do this because he does standup the same way I do, he goes in with a general idea of what he wants to talk about then just fireballs it, he rarely repeats jokes for this reason
@Cripplified6 ай бұрын
He says he studies all current news stories in his free time to prepare for his next set. I don't think he writes and memorizes jokes, he just collects topics and stories to talk about and is naturally funny at delivering his knowledge/view of them.

I've seen him in person twice around the same time on his tour to CA alone, then opening for Trevor Noah and they were pretty much the same jokes. I still laughed bc I love his jokes lol. when I was 14, during the 60s, most of the granny generation were still married "for life". We went with my cousins, aunt, uncle to visit relatives from my aunt;s extended family that I'd never met nor heard of before. They'd been married 40 or 50 years or something & once everyone get settled in there were 2 separate conversations, husband on one END of their couch & wife on the other.END -- as far apart as they could get. We were split between the2 each of them with half of us in front of them, but there were 2 SEPARATE conversations, or rather 2 separate monologues -- him telling ways she pissed him off & she's telling ways he pissed her off, & the whole time we can all hear both, & so can they. The whole time they're talking they've both got rabbit ears about what the other is saying about them, so they can get in their tag backs. Rumor was they hadn't said anything directly to each other in several years. But still living together. Kinda made me feel different about the stat for marriages that end up in divorce crossing the 50% line during my teen years. Like this is a GOOD thing, not a bad thing.

@mirny1509 😔 the sanctuary rescued a few cows a few years back, to keep the grasses low in the meadows at the top of the mountain, so that it if another fire comes close to them, it'll still be farther away from last time. And the fired dept ust visited and ran a check last week. Stay safe

Real talk, Josh as host of the Daily Show *sounds* like a fantastic pairing, but Josh's sense of humor is at his best when he's in control of what to say and about what topics, and I worry the Daily Show would force him to do certain shit he wouldn't want to do or didn't think was funny or shoot down jokes. I am hugely pro-Josh Johnson, which is why I'm a little "anti-Josh Johnson for host of Daily Show".

Josh is on TDS now and speaks his truth...so...what are you speaking of??? Don't wish something for this amazing, wonderful, truthful man that he doesn't want for himself. You don't know him like that.

You know that he’s been a writer on the Daily Show since 2017. So I wouldn’t worry too much about him. Both versions of himself are great.

Same here. I know he already IS part of the show, but for him to become the main host... since he hasn't yet, perhaps it's just not his "thing" 🤷♀️

@@datgrrl_official There is a huge difference between writing and doing small pieces on camera and being the host. The last few haven't exactly been quiet about how much they hated it. I don't want that for Josh. Lastly, Josh has said himself that the Internet is all gas no brakes, and they can push you into doing things you'd rather not.

Jealous. I'm just happy to be on the West Coast US, which hasn't yet hit 40° c, even if yesterday it passed 39. The East Coast of the US, however, is baking. The global average temperature hit 17.09° c yesterday. That's over 2/10 of a degree higher than it's ever been.

I moved into a new apartment…and I don’t know WHAT this building is made out of but the heat does not get in. I don’t even turn on the AC! It’s not insane hot outside, we’re usually at 28-32 Celsius (which is normal hot for Ontario now) but in my old building I had AC on 24/7 bc that heat got IN. this new building is scary I didn’t even have to turn on the AC when we hit 36! I’m probably in trouble come Canadian winter lmao. Though admittedly, last winter we barely dropped below 0 degrees. Hahaha. Ha. It’s only going to get hotter
@LindaC6166 ай бұрын
Nice! That apartment is a keeper! I can't imagine where else I want to live than here because of the weather. I don't think we've hit 90 yet this summer, and it barely snows. I might have to shovel snow once or twice a year
