It’s amazing what all you do in a day! Do you mix the Neem Oil and Fishemoltion together? And do you also spray the veggies with that?

Hello Flower Guy. my first year growing dahlias I screwed up, they got eaten by mites bad, I finally cut them flat down to the ground level. They all grew back and I DID do my pest care more diligently, so they grew a lot better after they grew back. That was my first season so I don’t know much, I’ve done a LOT of reading. Cutting flat to the ground, that salvaged my dahlias so I could have half a season of flowers and learn how each variety like to grow.

If you want to dramatically increase your strike rate, make sure those those world's-dullest-pruners get razor sharp, or use an actual sterile razor. No excuse for sloppy, frustrating, tearing cuts that increase cutting losses. Take pride in your tools young man, and keep up the good work!

Where did the aphids come from? I’m growing mine inside and yesterday I found my cafe au lait’s were crawling with ?fungus gnats? &/or spider mites! I’m so frustrated. Where did they come from?? I’ve sprayed them with insecticide soap and I propped my rechargeable bug zapper and it has been zapping every 20-30 minutes so there are flying bugs. There were some fine webbing noted too. WHERE did they come from indoors?

what about control of humidity levels? I've read regular fridges can keep at most 55-60% of humidity levels. Flowers need more like 90% humidity.

Only second Yr gardening and growing dahlias but your farming them and you were still cutting and trying to grow more of what you suspected were infected plants? And the damage didn't happen overnight surely from the mites?

Have you tried a flower stand at the end of your driveway or are you not on a busy road? And/or having Upick days for people to come and pick a bouquet for themselves? It's incredibly admirable that you're devoting such an incredible amount of work to get your farm to where you want it to be, especially on your own. I hope your mentor is also helping physically, because that looks pretty exhausting. Good luck, I hope you have a very successful year.

Your realism into the reality of becoming a flower farmer is invaluable, Thank you! Just found your channel and joined before the video was over. You definitely have me reevaluating my decision to add a smaller flower farm to my garden and livestock. Absolutely loved the video and the knowledge that you shared. Your flowers and farm are beautiful, as well as your family. Cant wait to watch more, hoping God is blessing you

As a grower I recommend not waiting until your plants are deficient to feed . A steady diet rich in calcium will keep pests from taking over . The stronger the cell walls the harder it is to infest

Ouch. The channel/farm is dead now, i'd assume. You should have put black landscape fabric down in that entire tunnel and used panda plastic, not cheap marijuana grow bags. Thirdly, you should have used a more reputable source for the potting mix. I would only trust promix with that large of a grow, all these new companies are selling tainted product. This entire setup was not well thought out. Thanks for making the mistakes so we don't have to.
