All tilting tables I’ve ever used have handles that are too long to clear the bottom. That’s the way they’re designed, or, with a heavy part on top, you wouldn’t have the leverage to turn it. So you remove the handle to position it when turning it. It’s inconvenient, but so is machining overall. I’m always amazed at how much you get with really cheap tooling from China and now, India. 50 years ago, if you bought a tilting table at the cost this would have been back then, made in the USA, it would have been made from thick sheet metal and pretty much total junk.

I believe I've been having this same problem for the past 20 days. Immediate Flashing check engine light. around 2500-3000 RPM it would start Stuttering/Sputtering, Raid Misfiring. I've replaced Coils, Plugs for the 2nd time (they were all replaced in December) PCV Valve Cover & Diaphragm, Checked VVT, Replaced Fuel injector 1, Top & Bottom O-Rings, Cylinder Pressure Check. I was only getting 0.4-6 volts in Fuel Injector Pigtail 1, after replaced it gets around 2.4-7 Volts, all the rest are 3.3v. still haven't resolved the problem.

I had done this on my Bonneville racer, slick was on since '96. I didn't think of the angled steel piece, that is the best tip. I did with Dremel and that took way too long. Just had to do it again on a 30-year-old tire. Used a big fender washer, put it in the vise, and bashed it to a right angle, and it worked fine. To the @rogerborg comment below, that is the most ignorant and unhelpful thing I've seen in quite a while. He's never done anything like this and comes on to make an asinine comment, what is wrong with people? A tire that gets old and hard will require so much levering force it will either bend a steel rim, or break an aluminum one. Oh and he calls people a 'hippie' as a pejorative? What century is he living in?

That lawnmower valve cover! Is that Honda GXV 160engine? Last time I was trying to unstick a sticky valve, I had to use silicone...blah I hate this stuff, since the service (where it was just few hours before) used a ton of this and made everything smeared by it...

It is a Briggs but Honda would be about the same. The printed gasket makes it so easy to do valve adjustments. No cleaning and getting a new gasket every year.

Just found this video, haven't checked your other videos yet but what do you think would be better for printing a thermal carburetor spacer, FDM or SLA prints?
@theeddies
@theeddies 20 күн бұрын
For a solid spacer I would choose which ever has the most heat resistance/ best chemical resistance. And that gives me a great idea for a comparison video now that I have a SLA printer. Of the types I have tried, PETG and TPU would be my best options. ABS or Nylon would be better but difficult to print. There are some high temp resins but again not tried them. But I will definately be doing some testing now, lol.
@cetate93
@cetate93 20 күн бұрын
@@theeddies I'm about to get some TPU95 A and I'll definitely give that a try. I just need about 1/4" for clearances and I feel like 50 dollars for a phenolic spacer is highway robbery. Backup option is PETG at 100% infill and two paper gaskets.
@theeddies
@theeddies 20 күн бұрын
@@cetate93 TPU will do it, print it solid. It might seem too stiff but it will be a little more flexible than phenolic and hold its form better than with infill. IMHO. I just ordered some high temp resin (up to 220c). I have been looking for another series like the gaskets and this might be interesting. Thanks for that. 😅

You superglued a gasket after spending so much time on the rest of the bike?
@theeddies
@theeddies 21 күн бұрын
It is a fitted o-ring and is a pretty common fix when the rings are not readily available or the "replacement" is not correct. It worked fine but was later replaced when we tracked down a correct one. Sometimes you have to get creative with these old bikes, not everything is plug and play.

This is not a simple fix! I ran over a tree root and now my lawnmower will not start. It’s an electric start. How can I tell if there is even a key or if it got sheared? There’s no way I could do that myself and I would take me like an hour even if I could. This lawnmower is garbage. I’m never buying a Honda again. I can’t run over anything without having major issues. Fortunately it started having problems after using it four times and I was refunded the money, but I think the solution is just buy another one because we never had this problem with another brand, I will never buy Honda again.
