Your fifteen minutes of total body strength training was a gift, Jules. The short video length, the exercises for our entire body, and the ending reminder about the importance of these workouts nailed it. Who doesn't have fifteen minutes to do something amazing for themself? Thank you.

I have never done one of these before (only cardio) and I don't have weights.... so I grabbed 2 cans of coconut cream from the cupboard.... not heavy, but better than nothing....I thought it was a fairly easy workout UNTIL an hour later I got up from my office chair and could hardly stand. 😂😂 My legs felt like jello. Ha ha, guess I will be doing these regularly now. 24 hours later and doing a cardio workout I could still feel the new muscles I found I have. Thank you, Julie. Your videos are inspiring. ❤

Hi Allyson, remember to put your weight into your heel of the front foot, and think of lunging DOWN, not forward. Also, you don't need to go as deep into the lunge as I do. Just go to whatever depth feels right. I hope that helps.

I've been waiting for one of these! Thanks so much. I did your 28-day challenge a few months ago and have been continuing to do strength 2-3x a week. I want to burn out my muscle groups - how do I do this? I am now using 5-8-10-12 pound weights. How do I know when to change? Some things feel too easy now. Do I do an extra set? I just want to make sure I'm not being under-challenged. I'm 64, 165 lbs, 5'6", eat a lot of protein/low carbs/a balanced diet, and in great health. I just feel flabby as all get-out and want to see faster results.! :)
@ImprovedHealth4 ай бұрын
First of all, a massive congrats for focusing on strength workouts! I wrote a blog post a while back with info on how to get the best results. When exercises become too easy, you either want to add on more reps, sets or lift heavier. There are so many ways to keep being challenged. When doing this workout, you can easily repeat it to get more out of it. Also be sure to use weights that challenge you (the exercise should be hard by the time you get to 8-10 reps). I'll add the blog post for you: www.improvedhealthforseniors.com/post/how-to-build-strength-and-continue-to-build-strength-as-a-senior-or-beginner
