Need to (good) rant here! Today I was using mostly 30lbs and 20lbs, with a sprinkle of 10lbs for the long lever arm movements. This 8 week challenge has made me strong and I’ve lost inches! My arms and legs are more sculpted and i never got bored. Mikala does a fantastic job programming. I love love love no repeat workouts but I hear over and over again that sets and repetition is important. But here’s the thing- the way Mikala programs these challenges is that your muscles are getting the right amount of reps in a week for strength. The movements may not be repeated but you’re doing similar exercises so definitely getting the muscles worked. And bonus, you’re never so so sore but just the right amount of sore when it comes to no repeats. I love it. Consistency is what will get you the results and her programming is just the right amount of intense to keep you energized and coming back. And I did! For 8 weeks and didn’t miss a workout! And slow and controlled is where it is at, and I love that she models this. Also pick up weights that push you (ie 45 sec of work feels just hard that the last rep is tough) I left my workouts each morning feeling strong and energized and not beat up or depleted. You can bet I’ll be repeating this 8 week challenge. Or Maybe she’ll be making another challenge. Either way, I’m officially committed to her training style! Plus the little smattering or barre and Pilates is just icing on the cake, while the main form is strength. ❤❤❤❤ ok rave/rant over. I love her programming! Much love from a fellow Canadian 🇨🇦

I agree with you. I have her dumbbell routines as my favourite and rotate through them x 3 times per week. My only request would be make 45 minute workouts. I’m a baby boomer Canadian living on Vancouver Island.

No joke when I say there is an inner battle to exercise or not everyday but I notice, once I am on YT and get to your channel, I always end up exercising anyway, because there is something that fits my mood, energy level and time requirements. I am 5 months postpartum with my 4th at the age of 40. I have always worked out after my pregnancies, and have NEVER experienced the body transformation so quickly after delivery like I have this time. I've been doing your workouts for about 4-5 weeks now, and I have noticed a HUGE change (with eating appropriately as well), but nothing has worked quite like your workouts. Thank you and keep it up!
