Two Birds Yoga

Two Birds Yoga

This is a 60 minute slow flow vinyasa yoga class. Class begins with hip openers to lubricate the lower body, then moves through some warming sun salutes with a few variations. Standing pose sequence of warriors, temple, triangle, lunges and twists, punctuated with restful childs pose, some cat / cow variations, tabletop and east pose (reverse plank). Class concludes with janu sirsasana (head to knee), twist, forward folds and a well deserved guided shavasana - extend your time here for another 5 minutes to complete your 60 min practice. This is an accessible class even if you're newer to yoga or have been practicing for a while. Plenty of alignment cues to encourage stability, ease and moving with integrity. A slow paced flow that is still satisfyingly challenging. Enjoy!

Good evening, Fiona! This beautiful practice was enhanced by an almost full moon shining in my window! Every so often the clouds would pass over it and it was quite a beautiful addition to my practice! I think this is my first time with this practice and I really enjoyed it. And shavasannah was quite long and just what I wanted! You are masterful! Thank you!❤️🙏🥰🧘🏻‍♀️🎉

Thank you very much indeed for this superb lesson! I keep finding uncovered territories in your classes, so my search pattern is guided by duration & whether I did a given one or not...All your lessons are very both clearly structured & hence open for all kinds of detours & investigative individual practices it really doesn't matter much which level a given lesson is, I'm grinning (when not puffing, that is..😅) during whole stretches of your teachings for the joy these give me, ...until Headstand, which I love to do for final meditation, but then you always say "let go of your jaw" or the like, & that's the end of CheshireCat smiling..😊 ❤️🙏🏻

Hi Fiona, I truly cannot thank you enough for your videos. This particular video got me "hooked" on Two Birds during the first COVID lockdown, and I honestly do not think I could have made it through this past year without you. Not only have your videos kept me well mentally, but you have allowed me to build strength and flexibility and feel much better in my body. Thank you for another great video. I don’t know if it’s the music or the pace is faster than what I am comfortable since I am pretty new, I had a very hard time follow some moves, and felt rushed. I powered through nevertheless.

@@TwoBirdsYogaYou are too kind. I am surely it’s mostly my own fault. After all, I gloriously failed PE once. I am not the most coordinated person. I am getting better. I love those hour long video. It’s a tremendous blessing to be able to carve out an hour a day for yoga.

@qww760 from my own experience, a new movement activity always expends more mental and physical energy. It’s the learning process. I too, feel quite uncoordinated when I try new things for sure. I have many embarrassing surfing and biking stories. Just keep going. You’ll find your flow :-) love that you’re enjoying them and taking the time for yourself ❤️🙏
