Their biggest threat isn't trophy hunting, it's the demand for their horns in Traditional Chinese Medicine, which doesn't even have any scientific evidence supporting it! It will be a great tragedy when they go extinct, and a dark spot on humanity.

Trophy hunters aren't the problem, it's poachers. Trophy hunters pay thousands to hunt specific rhinos that are interfering with the likelihood of the species surviving long term. Poachers just kill for money. Hunters want to be able to keep hunting, so are huge conservationists, poachers don't care.
