This 20 minute Yin Yoga class is the perfect way to release tension and stress out of your hips as well as increase flexibility in your hamstrings and inner thighs. This slow and restorative yin yoga practice will not only release physical soreness and stiffness but also welcome any release of emotional and mental stress that you may be holding within the hip area of your body. It's important to surrender to each yin yoga posture and accept any type of emotional release that may come your way. Be patient with your body and let go.
Remember, breathing is a very important factor in any Yin Yoga class so through out this entire practice make sure you're taking deep breaths in and long slow exhales out. Bring oxygen to your muscles, organs, and mind. Re-energize your nervous system, let go of stress and tension, and become fully present in each moment of each posture as you let go of the past with each exhale you make.
What is Yin Yoga?
Yin Yoga is a style of yoga practice that targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of asana practice.
Suitable for almost all levels, Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine.
Yin Yoga has many amazing benefits but below are some of the key benefits you may begin to feel after a regular yin practice:

I'm a personal trainer, and these stretches really help me, and I'm always recommending you all to my clients. I recently lost one of my best friends, my dad. wow, I'm on day one of the splits in 14 days and I swear my hips were always so stiff before this... At the end when you did the butterfly my knees were touching the floor and when I bent forward I touched my feet with my forehead THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE!!! thank you so much for this

This was great! I'm 38 weeks pregnant (just two weeks to go) and really needed something gentle like this to open up my hips and prepare my body for birth. I made a few modifications (lying on my back at an incline with a bolster and just sticking to hands and knees instead of doing upward facing dog) but otherwise this was perfect. I just want to tell you THANK YOU so much for these yoga videos... I had a severe piriformis issue for nearly a year, went to the doctor several times, tried meds, went to PT... NOTHING had completely resolved my pain and I was afraid that I might struggle for the rest of my life until I started yoga with you! I have gained so many benefits from practice, especially with learning how much emotion and stress we can hold in our hips. With the recent change of life style I've become "chained" to my desk at home. I don't have the opportunity to move around as I use to walk around the office and to meetings in the building, also just daily life of walking around the city. I have been in so much pain in my upper back and hips, but I'm starting to feel some amazing relief since practicing along with your Yin Yoga videos, both this video and upper back. After doing your videos for over 2 years, I figured it was finally time to comment... Julianna really is my personal trainer and yoga teacher. I love your pilates work outs, yoga flows, yin yoga classes, all of it! This particular practice is just so soothing. I used to be a gymnast but now I've got incredibly tight hips and legs from sitting at a desk all day. By the time we got to our final posture, my hips and legs felt AMAZING! Thank you for all you've done for me, my physical practice, and my mental practice over the past 2 months.

Starting your 14 day challenge. I LOVE that you film in natural landscapes for your videos. Me and my husband used to be huge travelers and I feel like I get to reflect and remember all those beautiful locations watching you and doing my practice at the same time.

This yin yoga was a amazing. I haven’t felt stretches like this even when I was an Olympic level track and field athlete. I wish I did this for when I use to run hurdles. The lizard pose was definitely one that I really felt and hard to work through. Your guidance to breathe through it really made a tremendous difference. I recently found your channel and being on this spiritual journey, your yoga classes are helping me delve deeper. I’m really learning to appreciate my body after all the years of hard training and spirit has changed my course and the body is to follow. Thank you for all your amazing videos I love them so much. I am a 12 year old girl and I have been vegetarian all my life but last year when I just turned 11 I turned vegan. Also around the same time i found your channel and I got into yoga, fitness and healthy eating and now i do that pretty much every day of my life. I do about 30 minutes of yoga a day and some pillarties too (I'd love to do more but I've got school and homeork and stuff). Woah that was intense! I was like watching a screen that was my thoughts. I could hear all this chatter that sounded like my voice. It was talking so fast but I couldn’t tell what it was saying. And I saw a memory of my younger cousin who passed away. I didn’t feel any emotion, rather I didn’t identify with it. I heard my mind say “his story is over but he lives on” and my body began to cry as I released further into the pose and continued to leak tears as I went to savasana even though I emotionally wasn’t upset. Very strange and interesting experience and not the first time I have cried in yoga! Thank you!! :)

I’m doing the 14 days splits challenge and this yin yoga video is amazing! I didn’t realise how tight I was until I did this video. But I felt so good and rejuvenated afterwards❤️❤️❤️

Her poses are great and excitingly painful sometimes. I practice martial arts, and have noticed that some of her poses and stretches are great in the goal toward achieving splits, and strengthening of the body when working toward higher kicks, and greater balance. I find it funny how well yoga works with the different exercises and stretches already in mixed martial arts forms. I find some stretches from kung fu, some from tai kwon do, some from karate, are already part of yoga routines, keeping me watching and practicing to these videos.

Loved this... Really tests my impatient nature. Forces me to slow down and focus!! I miss Turks & Caicos, and hope to return one day!
