Patrick: you forgot a 4th reason to head to your local bathhouse in the midst of the holiday chill: the HEAT! Steamroom, sauna, jacuzzi, hot showers .... all enjoyed in the company of other naked men! Is there any place better to be to warm your heart ........ and other body parts?? 😁👍

I have learned, as I grow older and experience all the bodily changes in involved in that., to revel in the heat and being able to look at naked men who have no interest in me. My expectations are limited but not nil. Sometimes the most amazing surprises come along to share my space.

The man who took my cherry, oh so many years ago, said upon departing, "You should go to the 'such-and-such' bath house in Seattle. I never really saw much of him after that, and I never have gone to a bath house. Interesting to know that they are back in business. I truly thought they were a thing of the past. I am once again widowed, but probably too old to get back in the scene. I'll keep these points in mind should I ever decide to visit one. I will probably need a buddy and guide.

Too old? Not necessarily. I'm 75 and still manage some action. Just dont expect that you will be the draw-card of yesteryear - and certainly learn when somebody is not interested. I am constantly surprised at young (relatively) guys who are interested in oldies. Hooray for them .😝

Always funny to hear about room availability and waiting lists. It's so North American! In the vast majority of European gay bathhouses, once you paid the entrance fee the rooms are just open and free to use by everybody.

Yes, this is true, but they are not cleaned after others use it. I've been to those bathhouses in Europe and using a room after others have used it without the maintenance staff getting a chance to clean it was unpleasant. Here, you get the room the whole time, and they clean it right after you vacate. The room is clean for the next customer. You can also ask for clean sheets in case there are accidents. Not so in the European ones I've been to.

Hi Patrick, me again. The old guy (Peter) on the other side of the rainbow having the time of his life. Im now in Sydney Australia. They have 4 gay saunas here. I have explored the Sydney sauna on Oxford St. Before I leave, I want to explore at least two more.

I’m gay, and I have been with a LOT of men in my time. But the whole concept of going to a bath house, grosses me out. So much so, I was dating this one guy for a while; probably about 5 months. Randomly found out he had been to bathhouses in the recent past. It put me entirely off him, and I never saw him again. Perhaps that’s a me problem, but I stand by it, and I’d absolutely do it again.
