The proper human diet is to hunt an animal when there is one and eat its meat. Then, when there isn’t, have a fast. Find some root vegetables and eat those. Next, find some fruit and eat that. When you’re hungry for a little, go fishing and eat some fish, and so on. This is one food at a time, and this is healthier and easier to digest. Your body can do a better job of digesting it. You get the benefits of not hitting IGF-1 and mTOR at the same time. You get FGF21 when you only eat plants also, and you eat live probiotic foods (like carnivorous animals do when they eat an animal). Native man had exposure to heat and cold, day and night, summer and winter, feast and fast, meat and vegetables. There is a balance, but biology is a DYNAMIC balance, NOT a static balance! Static balance is death; it is the polarities that charge our batteries. You want the acidic and the alkaline, the antioxidants and oxidants, the pulsing of oxygen and CO2. Seriously, look into it-all of these are beneficial! Look at Wim Hof: cold exposure (which should include heat shock proteins), hyperventilation, and breath holding can turn people into near supermen! Yin and Yang, but not equal amounts of both. The body gains tolerance to things it is constantly exposed to, but almost all exposure is beneficial for a time, including nuclear radiation-radiation hormesis!

Whole food Carbs are made for our benefit. As well as animal protein. Eat whole foods which help you feel energized, and calm. Each of us varies in what we specifically need. And women have different Nutritional Needs than men. We should Carb cycle with our Menstruation cycle and pay attention to our hormonal Lifecycle needs. Dr. Mindy Pelz is one great source for this. Dr. Andrew Huberman has interviewed other Specialists about women't hormones as well. Women will tend to start looking like men when we eat a lot of or too much protein.

I have ulcerative colitis. I cannot eat any breads, fruits, beans, and some veggies. My gastrointestinal doctor knew I was going to Italy and told me to eat bread and see how my gut handled it. She told me Europe has very strict rules on processed food. I was able to eat bread, pizza and pasta in Italy with no gut issues! Why does the FDA allow so much “crap” in our food which is so unhealthy for us?

We’ve been buying healthy (No refined junk, no sugar, no corn syrup, no bad oils for over 7 years now) the only thing my doctors tell me is my PCOS and hormones. So yes it’s confusing because if I as lying about the way we eat I would only be hurting myself. However, I know we eat healthy, but still have 30 lbs of extra weight.

@@godwins7778 what do you eat? How often? Exercise ?
@LolaSteininger
@LolaSteininger 6 ай бұрын
@@godwins7778The rule of fat loss is very simple: it’s calories in, calories out. No matter what you eat, this rule won’t change. If you eat more calories than you spend, you gain fat; if you spend more calories than you eat, you’re in a caloric deficit, hence you lose fat. If you eat the same amount of calories as you spend, you’re in a caloric maintenance. The food you eat matters in a sense that it provides you with NUTRIENTS, so you’re nourished, satiated, and satisfied, which leads you to NOT OVEREAT ON CALORIES, so you eat as much calories as you spend, and you maintain your weight. If you eat super healthy but you eat more calories than you spend, you gain fat no matter what. If you eat junk but you’re in a caloric DEFICIT, you’ll lose fat no matter what. In order to lose fat, you need to get in a caloric deficit, that’s it. Just do it SUSTAINABLY: eat food that gives you energy and stimulates you to move around and be physically active (so you actually feel like you WANT to move and not force yourself to workout, when you’re low on energy - you have to give yourself good food that fuels you). And then eat the food that gives your body NUTRIENTS to re-build it after the exercises (to repair the muscles and make them stronger). People that go on a meat rich diet, start losing weight because it’s more sustainable: they are less hungry, which means they most likely DON’T OVER EAT. People, who over eat on a carnivore diet, gain weight.

@ For the most part it’s really good. If I eat cheese it backs me up, which it didn’t do so as much before carnivore. The slightest amount and I lose my regularity. Before carnivore I would go to the bathroom two or three times a day and while carnivore it’s very consistent and once. I drink a lot of water and added Celtic sea salt to my meals which has more minerals that sea salt you get from Walmart etc… during thanksgiving I ate some normal food like potatoes and stuffing and some ice cream and then the next couple days had some pizza. It had been since February’ ish since I had anything other than food acceptable to carnivore lifestyle and I couldn’t believe how that type of food made me feel. Bloated and lethargic and lost that sense of wellbeing that that I had while being strict. I had gotten used to feeling so good all the time. It was a good experience and just solidified that I feel amazing being carnivore. Another thing is my wife and I got sick and she was way worse than I was and usually it was the other way around. She had to take days off work and I had no problem going to work and that’s usually the other way around also. My body dealt with it way better. Sorry for the long detour from your original question but I like to explain things to people, not knowing if you’re trying to go carnivore or are having issues while on. In the beginning I was have some issues being backed up and some people have issues with the runs. My honest opinion is I think it takes some time for the body to adjust and when it does things start to flow normal no pun intended haha.

Going grocery shopping is easy now. But the other benefits is that I feel great and can see the health benefits as well. But mostly I just hated too much choice 🤣. I only need to decide if I happen to be out on a social occasion which is rare anyway in my life being an introvert, so most nights it’s a steak a book and bedtime.

I'm eating a mostly animal based diet, with lots of eggs and grass fed ribeyes and lamb, with the addition of avocados, blueberries and strawberries and sometimes a bit of raw organic honey in my tea. Seems to work well. Down 60+ pounds already and feel great!

Its the most unhealthy you can eat. What you lose are just water weight in the start. For any real weight loss you need to go low fat plant based. Medical medium information.

Lillie, you've helped me more than you could know. For the last 12 months, I've gone Keto, and im almost off the last prescription drug. After 40 years I've lost 55 lbs, healed my liver, and so much more Thank you so much for being a part of my journey My take away is that food is the best medicine, so I eat low carbs, whole foods, healthy fats, and plenty of protein, no seed oils, no processed foods, no sugar Lots of love and health to you

There are YT docs we trust and those we’re skeptical. We find our own way depending on what works for us. The biggest thing I’ve learnt is protein and fat are essential whereas carbohydrates are not. Thx Lillie for this jigsaw puzzle. 👏🇦🇺

Lilly thank you so much for exposing my brain. I was hoping for a Doc that would say go ahead and eat doughnuts and French fries everyday. Haven't fount that one yet. I eat whole all meat eggs. Dairy. I consume berries and veggies in season i grow and I love garlic.

The thing is though, everyone reacts different to all foods. One doctor said he can eat apples every day, that's fine, I think an apple is better than processed crap, but if I ate an apple everyday my diverticulitis/ibs will crucify me for days later even if we class it as healthy or not. I've learnt to know what I can eat, personally I'm ketovore with very selective veg and fruits. But long as you cut out processed foods, sugar an inflammatory oils I think you're making a good start to better health!

This video is fire, Lillie! 🔥 I’d go for the Mg+ supplement you’re recommending, but $35/month is too steep for me. I do understand your rationale, though.

In my opinion, the best diet for ALMOST all people is a whole foods diet. So include everything, meat, veggies, fruit, but then if you feel like you're not thriving you should start removing stuff. Obviously never eat seed oils and ultra-processed food, but maybe try removing broccoli, or remove this, or remove that, see what causes you problems.

Definitely have your magnesium levels checked before supplementing. Carnivore 3 years, beef, bacon, eggs and my magnesium and potassium levels are normal high. I don’t eat any foods that people would typically think of having those 2 minerals.

Thanks for the look at all these Doctors. They do seem to have a conflicting message sometimes, but I think you did a great job finding the consensuses among them. I have been following a mostly keto diet (for me 30grams of carbs or less) with some just straight up carnivore days (kind of makes up for the occasional oops but is delicious). The results so far, 40lbs lost so far this year (probably another 90 to go), Improvement on my A1C (from clearly diabetic to normal), normal liver panel (formally a not so happy liver. Fatty liver was hinted at.) and I feel the best I have in a very long time. With all the success I developed a nagging lipid panel, and it actually got worse over the last month with a higher statin dose. I'll see what my Cardiologist says, I am thinking, like you, I need to tweak my diet a little bit to improve the labs a bit. Any diet adjustment is a tight rope act as I have the Diabetes to manage as well as the weight loss.

The closer to the way God made it the better it is for you. If it is in season - bonus good, if it is raw - bonus good. If it is fresh like this egg was laid this morning - bonus good. Enjoy your food but do not be a glutton, have a wine but do not get drunk. Be grateful for all the food God provides and give thanks.

There are a few points where infos are collide: grains, high carb vegetables, fruits and dairy; being constantly in ketosis or do carb cycling, low carb vs keto, keto vs carnivore; imapct of anti-nutrients (is it a real threat?), IF, etc. The confusion has not ended here at this video.

Love your videos you are so funny and the editing is very creative. Though I would say your population is pretty meat biased. I agree about a real food diet. I eat plenty of meats and fish but I’m still tentative about too much saturated fat because my ldl was getting up there and I still believe that this is a risk factor for heart disease. Fruits and veggies yes. Eggs a few times a week. Super picky about grains. I have settled on Ezekiel bread for now! When I I eat too much dairy my belly hurts some and I can’t 💩! Thanks for your great work.
