If you workout the same way everyday, basically your ca2+ stores get replinished slower, the calcium release channels get opened slower to go and bind to troponin and initiate crossbridge cycling for muscular contraction faster. Now if you "shock" the muscle the AP will travel down slightly faster and do these things slightly faster. Because synapses adapt overtime. But this increase is soo tiny, that unless theres a whole cascading effect triggered by a big change in training style, it really wont matter. So arnold's idea works but only if you have been consistently doing the same thing for soo long, and switched it up very well to "shock".

Compound lifts first. Personal advice: start with the lift u feel the weakest in either its deadlifts, squats, standing overhead press, pull ups

Front raises isn't dumb exercise.Many gymnasts and calisthenics athletes use this to strengthen bicep tendons for planche and other advanced moves.But they do it with straight arms(fully locked out).

Hi guys, I am a beginner and I find myself in a position where my overhead press is increasing only VERY slowly. According to the video, I should be changing what I do, but I can’t really find another good way to load up the front delts. What would you guys reccomend me to do? (for extra context, I can more eaily progress on pther exercises e.g bench press)

​@@hellothere-cx8dzoverhead press is a very finicky movement, probably more so than any other barbell lift. The trick is to focus on either accessories to it, like incline press, and focus on the parts of the movement where you're the weakest. Micro loading helps as well, like instead of trying to go up by 5 lb, you use smaller plates and go by 2.5 or even 1.25. At least that's what I did to get my 1rm up to 235

I am also showing very strange signs in terms of puberty (only some parts of puberty are really showing and not others at a much later age), so im gonna hope that shit speeds up to help me out a little bit. The reason is your rotator is not as strong. Warm it up. If you are doing it already and still you feel pain see a doctor. Might be an injury But I'm not educated so idk tho

Ironically, Dumbbell Flies are actually superior to the cable flies shown by Martin in this video, as tension in the lengthened portion of a lift produces significantly greater hypertrophy stimulus than shortened position.
