Phil Daru why when you’re not using full range motion while doing KTB ??
@PhilDaruStrong4 жыл бұрын
ffs dmc what is your definition of full range of motion the goal is hip extension and posterior chain strength locking down my scap to not roll forward into protraction there’s several forms of KB swings.

*By functional I mean you can comfortably swing or carry it **bestgym.equipment** around as one would expect of a kettlebell weight. By versatile I mean the protective coating does not prevent attaching magnetic micro-plates to increase the weight, so, for example, a 35 pound kettlebell can be increased by up to 5 pounds in weight or possibly a bit more by attaching magnetic micro-plates.*

I was looking for a finisher workout to complete after my main one. I would typically do a cardio based workout as a finisher but this is so much better. This works the entire body incorporating strength and cardio. I can’t wait to try this. Thanks.

Interesting workout methodology. You got explosive strength-speed there and making it endurant enough for you to stay in the fight and be someone the opponent can get knocked out by, if they're not careful. Good job!

This protocol is almost exactly what I found from an older article on scientific-based conditioning. The only difference is this one has a bit more variety (the one I found was just 10 kettlebell swings on the minute every minute for about the same time). If you used this in the same way, you would do this about 3 times/week for conditioning in addition to strength training.

You have a great upper body form on your Kettlebell swings, but you are bending your lower back. You're doing that because the Kettlebell is swinging too low. Try to keep that badboy a little tighter to your body, like you're shitting it. It forces that hip hinge and explosion back up. Sounds crazy, but I got that advice from Pavel Tsatsouline's Enter the Kettlebell and it was a game changer.

When I was fighting youtube wasn't around so to find someone who had knowledge & experience like these Gentleman have you would have to either know the right people, frequent the right gyms by traveling etc., or just be in the right place at the right time. Awesome explosiveness on the kettlebell swings. I will definitely try to emulate that. About the rotational swings, what guards against the pressure on your knees? I incorporate rotational exercises in a lot of other areas of my workouts, but that rotational swing is a first for me. Looks like a knee killer if done improperly.

I did the workout for 1 set of 10 reps for each exercise and the shadow boxing before, in between and after since im out of shape The good- i definitely had sweat pouring off me by the end and was winded having to take deep breaths also i felt the shoulders burning by the 2nd set. I also enjoyed knowing i could adjust the weight if need be and go lighter. The movements were easy to execute and seemed low impact on the joints so i could definitely see most people being able to do this even if they are just beginning The bad- honestly nothing comes to mind unless you have a shoulder injury and even then you could do this with just a one pound weight bar(if it doesn't cause irritation to the injury of course) and still get a great low impact workout
