Not only that, but she should be limiting her own caffeine to no more than 200mg per day. Caffeine crosses the placental barrier and studies have shown it makes the baby's heart beat faster. Studies about smaller birth weights and other fetal issues are rather contradictory, but for now all the leading medical organizations are calling for absolutely no more than 200 mg and preferably even a bit less.

It's not that easy. Like the other person said, never ever ever ever badmouth a parent to their own kids. Kids don't need to hear that. EVER. They're the ones who have to live with the fact that person is their mom. And it could backfire, because the kids might feel like they're being used as pawns in a feud between two adults who don't get along. Which is exactly what it would be. If the kids believed OP didn't try to contact them, at least they were able to express it and feel listened to, and she would be able to respond by reassuring them that it was just a simple misunderstanding. And that would be the truth. She can do that without making accusations. She doesn't have to lower herself to their mother's level. Shit would hit the fan if the kids told their mom "so-and-so said you did this and that". Not worth it.

Yeah, the YTAs can stfu. "OP didn't seem to be paying attention" yes they were? @Original_Tenshi_Chan
@Original_Tenshi_Chan 3 жыл бұрын
@@thedestroyasystem Agreed, and I would even argue that the female security guard raising her voice may have been necessary. I don't yell normally, but I'm small, and if I'm feeling threatened and nervous that someone external to the situation may not notice, I will raise my voice to get the attention of others. If that guy was that much of a dick head, that disrespectful and disregarding of safety protocol, then it's not beyond the realm of possibility that he may have given off a threatening vibe and made her nervous. Her raising her voice did get the attention of other guards and got their assistance, and their assistance was able to convince the jerk to leave. So I would say the female guard did the right thing. Plus, like another poster pointed out, there have been a LOT of assaults on security guards during this pandemic, so she has reason to be at least overly cautious in my opinion. I'm all for demilitarizing the police, but that doesn't mean it's ok to harass guards or punish them for acting in a self-preserving manner that doesn't harm others. Her yelling does not harm the jerk.

Maybe I’m alone on this but when I was a teenager, I made my own meals (unless we did a family dinner). I don’t get why she even make them lunch, they know how to put deli meat and lettuce on bread right? Or are they just super coddled?

Depends on if they suck so bad at cooking to a point it will be more work than them actually cooking or if was like me, had 4:30am practice every morning and physically could do it. I new someone that was that bad at cooking. Their parents said that it actually cost them more for the friend to cook then the parents making the food for them. It was funny and incredibly sad at the same time. When I actually saw it myself, I thought I was either dreaming or high.

STORY 2 OP YTA Why can't hubby change up his life? Also why can't hubby just have decaffeinated coffee or decaffeinated Cola? I have a suggestion. It has been shown that dairy can contribute to acne. Might consider cutting out dairy. Some people also think gluten might cause acne. You eliminate one thing at a time until you find the culprit. There are books about this. A relative had this problem on her face at 40. She picked up a book that recommended cutting out 7 different things from her diet. One at a time until she figured out the problem. It turned out to be gluten and dairy. She cut back on both and no more problem. She didn't cut them completely out, just cut down on them in her diet.

Story 1 - "Where the phones are under her care and not with them" Oh god, she's one of THOSE parents. Yeah, no, that is exactly what the ex has been doing, deleting the texts and calls, and OP needs to talk to her husband about it because if she's doing that, who knows what else she's doing. Story 3 - NTA. The guy started the shit by not following the protocol, the confrontation could've been avoided if he hadn't been a smug bastard and deserved worse imo because he could've put people in serious danger. And yes, the security guards should be professional, but they also don't deserve the amount of shit that gets thrown at them. Story 4 - OP NEEDS to take this to HR because once to his face is passable as a joke, but the rest is going too far and could not only get OP in trouble with his GF, it could lead to a hostile work environment for him if people take her seriously and start to see him as a "bad father".

Story 3: ESH/NTA op didn’t do anything wrong, not really at least, and the guards don’t need to be fired over someone who could possibly be sexist. To the guard story, do I have the details right: during a lockdown when by law the place has to have a guard screen every person entering, a man walks in, willfully disregards/ignores the guard and the mandatory process, and then escalated when she catches up with him to ask him questions and still refuses to do the very basic thing required by law… and then escalates, yelling and using foul language and having to have more guards come over because of his behavior..?
