Fun fact dry scalp is different than dandruff. Dandruff treatments don’t work for dry scalp (in fact from personal experience it only makes it worse). If ur struggling with dry scalp try using a more moisturizing shampoo and conditioner :D

In fact the treatment for dandruff and dry skin is exactly the opposite, a dandruff shampoo's purpose is to dry out the head.

The second show in Levittown was definitely eventful - that couple was incredibly rude to not only come to a show just to mock it the entire time (why are you there then in the first place), but to ALSO make a spectacle to the point where you felt it necessary to stop and assess safety before continuing (important though in today's world), AND to leave their ringing phone behind... and that flashing light in the middle of the venue probably didn't help reduce nerves either lol. But you all handled the night so well, and I hope you don't let that couple cloud the rest of the show!! hey man just a note that it's totally okay to gain weight and there isn't anything wrong with eating more fast food than usual when you're tired and stressed on tour (as long as you're still feeling physically good)!! i dunno if you tend to feel guilty about stuff like this, but if so, just know that you don't have to. even though some isn't as nutritious, food isn't inherently "healthy" or "unhealthy" and they can all provide you with certain nutrients or feelings that are good and cool and swag
@nomoretwitterhandles
@nomoretwitterhandles 2 жыл бұрын
Actually, some foods ARE inherently unhealthy. Anything with transfats is 100% TERRIBLE for you and it WILL wreck your system. Iceberg lettuce is also not healthy (though I wouldn't say "unhealthy"). It has like, no nutrients at all. You'd be better off eating real greens instead of iceberg lettuce. I like your message and I'm glad you're trying to be reassuring, but please don't promote the idea that foods are neither healthy nor unhealthy, because that's just not true at all.

@@nomoretwitterhandles alright it’s ok lol. I don’t think they we’re saying there isn’t healthy or unhealthy food. Ice berg lettuce isn’t a super good but people could definitely use some lower calorie density food. I have no idea why people don’t focus on calorie density for dieting cuz it’s pretty easy to stay full and low calorie density food tends to be pretty healthy as it is. Ice berg lettuce was such a random food to call out lol

I also struggle with dandruff in winter and I've got a perfect one time cure. First mix baking soda and salt together, and scrub that against your dry scalp, then rinse it out. Next put about a quarter cup of apple cider vinegar on your scalp and leave it there for 10 minutes, then wash it out with any shampoo. Next rub about a quarter cup of coconut oil against your scalp, let it sit for about 5 minutes, then wash it out with any shampoo. Then put in conditioner. Last you put tea tree oil in while it dries. Your hair might smell a bit the next day, but it makes the dandruff go away. Also always shampoo your hair twice, helps wonders with dandruff. Hope this helps!

My man I feel like that works because it removes like three separate layers of skin lol. I would be very careful doing that guys, would probably irritate some peoples scalps a ton especially anyone sensitive which is common with dandruff. The times I’ve heard to use ACV for dandruff they say you’re supposed to dilute it a lot, cuz it’s really acidic which could be more of an issue after scraping it all up with salt/bakingS.

hi kurtis, i’m a licensed cosmetologist!! a dry scalp and dandruff are caused by different things, like if you have actual crusty dandruff on your scalp and it feels oily, it can be an overproduction of oils and I would recommend a clarifying shampoo and a scalp brush and if the problems persists, see a medical professional as for dry scalp which is causing a few dry skin flakes, i would recommend a moisturizing shampoo, my personal favorite is either Drench by Paul Mitchell or the Anti Snap line from Redken, both can be bought at like an ulta or online! i would want to be careful with the moisturizing shampoo, as it can make your hair heavy and would recommend switching back and forth between one that cleans/clarifies and one that moisturizes! thank u for everything u do and making my days not so long!!!

I really really resonate with the person feeling uncomfortable about their partner smoking weed. It makes me uncomfortable too, and I can't explain it. And I get mad at myself for it too because if I said that out loud people would think I'm judging them, or that I think I'm better than them. People can do what they want, but people being high around me makes me so uncomfortable.

Same but only when it’s a young person. Smoking weed during your crucial development stages like your teen years is actually bad for you. I don’t want to be the bitch complaining about people smoking weed, if it’s legal go ahead but it really isn’t as harmless as people think it is. Smoking weed in your teen years is linked to the development of psychotic disorders. Weed is also linked with problems with fertility (but not everyone is worried about that aspect of life so it’s only a concern if having biological children is something you’re interested in).

To the first Advice Letter about the smoking weed, I had the same experience when I was 16/17 and my boyfriend smoked weed for the first time with his friends. It’s still not legal here, but we were both open minded about experimenting and I didn’t disapprove of it. We were both surprised I was so upset. Thankfully I already had a therapist because I’d been experiencing severe anxiety that year. Eventually I realized the feeling of upset actually stemmed from realizing FULLY that he will always be a separate person from me, and not only may have big new experiences without me, but may sometimes make decisions and act in ways I wouldn’t approve of. It was like being fully faced with how separate you are from each other, even if you’re madly in love and spend all your time together and just operate on completely the same wave length. It was being uncomfortable with the loss of control when you realize that you both may grow apart, have experiences without the other person, or generally not know what lies ahead for both of you. I wonder if the letter writer is having similar feelings of anxiety and feeling uprooted.

I'm pretty sure the variant names come from greek letters so that they don't have to name it after the geographical area it came from which would cause discrimination. Also uploaded on my birthday ayy

You could maybe try the Aveda Pramasana purifying scalp cleanser. I work at a hair salon and that seems to work pretty well for most people, since it helps sorta neutralize any scalp issues, including ones that cause dandruff.

Your flaking could also be dermatitis! I’m having some flare ups because of the cold, but this shampoo called Nizoral helps soooo much. It should be OTC!

Hey Kurtis, I also struggled with Dandruff pretty consistently since puberty. I also had tried everything and something helped but it would never really go away for good. One day i told a doctor about it and they diagnosed me with seborrheic dermatitis, which is like pretty bad chronic dandruff. They gave me some special shampoo and hair cream and things have never been this good. Doesn't hurt to ask your doctor. Hope this helps.

I haven’t made it to that part in the video yet but I see comments here suggesting dandruff shampoos - no one has suggested Nizoral ? This stuff is awesome it directly kills the fungus that causes dandruff instead of just treating it

I’ve had baddd scalp problems since moving back home. Like it’s scaly patches and if I pick off the scales it turns to scabs. Pretty sure it’s eczema caused by the hard water, and I need to just get a shower filter. I’ve just been trying out diff medicated shampoos and nothing works that well for long

I tried EVERYTHING for my scalp and then finally my doctor told me to use Selsun (NOT THE ONE’S THAT SAY BLUE) 2.5% strength (buy at any shoppers or walmart). I have psoriasis and it did wonders. Itching stops after 1-2 washes (don’t use more than 2-3 times a week) and in a few weeks the flakes cleared up. You gotta be patient Kurtis, it’s like acne, it’s not gonna disappear after washing your face once. I swear by this product, also DON’T USE HEAD AND SHOULDERS IT SUCKS FOR ANYTHING MORE THAN MILD DANDRUFF!

Dandruff sucks. When I have a flare up I do T/Sal only like 2x max in a week and do regular shampoo the rest of the week. It reduces the flakiness and switching with regular shampoo keeps it balanced in moisture. Otherwise I get extra flaky from extra dryness if I do the dandruff remedy too many days in a row.

I just keep thinking about that video game from 1999 called Omikron the Nomad Soul. I actually played it then, just because David Bowie was attached to it and did some music for it. It wasn't a great game though.

Okay real talk before i listen to kurt boys advice, whoever did the first advice im right with you. I get really bad anxiety around any drugs. I broke up with my last boyfriend bc of it and the lies he would make. I hope you're doing okay and just know you are entitled to your opinions and anxieties and thoughts. It's all okay. YOU do what makes you comfortable, not what you think others want you to do bc you won't be happy that way Edit: now after listening to his advice, i do somewhat agree you can't give the ultimatum of its me or the weed. I did give my last boyfriend the ultimatum bc he was lying to me constantly about it. I still have bad anxiety around any drugs for my own reasons. But my point still stands, do what makes you comfortable. I'm now in a happy 2 year relationship with my current bf and we both don't really want to drink or smoke which makes me comfortable and secure

Dude they sell scalp scrubs, there’s a line called curl smith that has a scalp detox set, there’s a primer to put on your scalp so it doesn’t get even more dried out from shampooing, then there’s a shampoo scrub that exfoliates and then a eucalyptus conditioner for your scalp not your ends and it feels like icy hot on your head but in the best way i promise! ulta sells the full kit around the holidays, def would give it a shot, if anything it just feels relaxing so 😂

kurt you should look up hair training! with this new wave and being at home you could totally do it. During the second wave i started "training" my hair meaning going further inbetween washes every week. now i wash my hair once every weekish, my dry scalp and dandruff is gone, and my curls are so healthy! washing every day makes you more dry which continous the cycle, our scalp and hair need natural oils to hourish.
