I'm hearing with deaf family. Several times from hearing people I hear deaf people kick their asses with online games. Well yeah, sound doesn't distract them and they see movement 10 times faster than you. I'll make sure to tell hearing people to yell if someone ever attacks a deaf person, it gives them four more punches.

I was born completely deaf in one ear. It has its positives and negatives. Pro- the "I'm deaf excue" and 99% of the time I couldn't hear them. Con- my good ear is hypersensitive to certain noises

It's true what he says, while I'm only half deaf, I can relate to those points... I hate it when people look at us as the 'unfortunate' ones since we got used to our handicap by now. I don't think any disabled person thinks or feels sorry for himself. Sure, it's rough sometimes, but we just get by. Also, I punched a guy once and broke his nose by accident without even realizing how hard I hit him in the first place... yikes. Lucky for me, he didn't press charges xD The only thing that pisses me off though, is when people think that by wearing hearing aid, I can somehow hear them across the room whatever the crap they're whispering to me, like I'm some sort of superman...

Austenhead i know this is a late answer but i used to have 75% hearing loss but now its about 25-35% and as im still 13 nrly 14 u do get the odd ignorant person come up to u n say awwww and do shit like that but u end up just having to ignore it 😂the classic is can u tell what im saying and they pretend to say smthn but rlly slowly so u cant even make it out 😂
