You won't be dating long if it's the person God has in mind for you. Been with my husband for less than a year. Knew within 2 weeks he was who I was praying for by praying and God answering swiftly.

I would love to date a brother who has it planned out like that. Everybody isn’t for everybody. I don’t want to sleep with you. I’m trying to see if we’re a good fit. If not, no harm no foul. We don’t need to be creating evil soul ties and damaging each other. This is good information

Women have a shorter window. 6 months is a long time to find out if a guy is serious. Also, women should not be kissing a bunch of frogs. Becoming a wife early, and realizing men of character is essential. Also, dating is not biblical. The last one is free😊
@williewhite169 Жыл бұрын
David Perry it is not clear what the impetus for your misogynistic statement that “women should become a wife early,” means. This statement is nonsensical. A woman should become whatever she desires. Not all women desire to be a wife with or without children. Second, it is not that dating is not biblical, it is that under Jewish culture a woman and man were first betrothed to each other. Although Jewish culture, however, does not contemplate dating and is totally silent on the issue of dating, there is absolutely no proscription in the Bible that states, “Thy shall not date.” Under western culture betrothed is the equivalent of an engagement. Mary and Joseph were not engaged when Jesus was conceived, they were betrothed. In ancient Jewish culture, that distinction meant everything. There were two steps to marriage, the first being the betrothal, or erusin, wherein the couple formally committed to marriage. At this time, they were legally considered married, they were referred to as “husband” or “wife” (2 Sam. 3:14; Deut. 22:24), and they could only end their marriage through death or divorce (Deut. 22:22-29). They were not, however, legally able to consummate their marriage until after the second step of the marriage process: nissuin, or the formal home-taking ceremony. The interval between these two events could last as long as a year. During this time, the bride prepared for the ceremony and for her upcoming move and the husband was expected to prepare the home that he would bring his wife into (a thought that makes John 14:2-3 even more tender when we realize that Jesus is the bridegroom and we are the wife!). Mary was a married woman when the angel appeared to her and told her that she would be the mother of Jesus. Joseph was a married man not yet legally able to consummate his marriage when he found out that his wife was pregnant. The agony he felt when he believed she had been unfaithful was whether or not to divorce her.

It’s okay to date outside of sexuality, if dating is physical then it becomes promiscuity
@williewhite169 Жыл бұрын
I’m Tim Ross erroneously states, “the made was made but the woman formed.” However, this statement does mot line up with Genesis, chapter 2. To the contrary, Genesis 2:7 states, “And the LORD God FORMED man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2: 22 states, “And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, MADE he a woman, and brought her unto the man. Therefore, it was the man who was formed, not the woman, and the woman who was made. Form means to bring together parts or combine to create something that does be not already exist. Made means to create something out of a structure that already exists. Thus, Adam was formed from the dust but Eve was made from Adam’s rib.

Biyfriend, girlfriend is not biblical either. There was courtship.
@kikirogers1005 Жыл бұрын
How do you get to the point of courtship?
@davidperry4310 Жыл бұрын
@kikirogers1005 envolve your family, your church, your friends, etc. Kind of like a date, but in the presence of loved ones. Vs the alternative. Going out by yourselves, creating sexual tension, and juggling on whether or not you'll become intimate with each other. Honestly, it depends on your belief system. If you want to stick with the Bible, do not tempt yourselves to sin. Or put yourselves in a position where it would be easy to fall into sin.
@williewhite169 Жыл бұрын
David Oerry your statement about courtship is absolutely not true. Under Jewish culture there was no such thing as courtship. Instead there was an Erusin (אירוסין), the Hebrew term for betrothal. In modern Hebrew, "erusin" means engagement. The words “courting” or “courtship” are not in the Bible. So accordingly to your philosophy, neither courting nor courtship are biblical because neither is in the Bible.
@davidperry4310 Жыл бұрын
You are right about that. The courtship thing. But are you combating against my choice of words, or my point. What say you about the video? Do you agree with him?

You are giving this advice, but you are not considering men control access to relationship and marriage. You best believe I'm not doing all the ground work, paying for everything, while shes out there dealing with other men. As the scripture says he who finds a wife. It does not say, she who finds a husband!
@kikirogers1005 Жыл бұрын
Your not the only man who's seeking a wife though
@davidperry4310 Жыл бұрын
@kikirogers1005 don't shoot the messenger. Ask yourself, what kind of man are you looking for. One with self-respect, who will not let you play him. Or one who will allow you to walk all over him? This is something you must ask yourself. Guys who pay attention to you will fit into one of the two categories. The other will fall into the other. This is something you can only answer yourself. What do you truly want. There are results for being selfish and shady, as well as being thoughtful and righteous. Then, consider what the Bible says with no self-preservation. Accept the truth beside what any human tells you, including myself. Look to God, and not man, or any ones interpretation. Including your own.
@davidperry4310 Жыл бұрын
@kikirogers1005 Also, nothing this man says about the topic is biblical. Anyone can misquote scripture. Look for yourself, though.
