I am fifty-six. Eleven years ago I left it all behind and got a job cutting grass on golf course and playing music gigs. I am fortunate, I get paid for performing both my hobbies. Hasn’t hurt a thing. Now I gotta visualize getting healthy.

0:55: 🔑 Jay discusses the concept of purpose and provides a simplified approach to discovering it. 7:39: 🌄 Having a morning routine can bring a sense of control and certainty to a chaotic day. 15:05: 💡 Solitude is the beginning of love and self-discovery, allowing us to learn to love ourselves and understand our flaws and mistakes. 22:14: 💬 Effective communication is essential in relationships, and taking time for solitude can help regulate emotions and improve communication. 29:30: 💡 Love with our partner is not the ultimate goal, but rather a practice for a more expansive and rewarding form of love. 37:02: 💡 Love is not limited to romantic relationships, but can also be expressed in parental, brotherly, friendly, and leadership contexts. 44:44: 💕 Expressing love and gratitude to others is important, as life is unpredictable and we should not have regrets about our last interactions. 52:37: 💑 The speaker discusses the importance of being present and cherishing moments with loved ones, sharing personal experiences with their mother's illness and recovery. 59:15: 💑 The speaker reflects on how his wife chose to be with him when he had nothing to offer but himself, highlighting the importance of being loved for one's character rather than achievements. 1:07:14: 🔑 Love is about finding someone you want to make it right with, not finding the perfect match. 1:14:57: 💑 Sexual conflicts in relationships often stem from a lack of emotional safety and vulnerability. 1:23:47: 💑 Bonding over entertainment, such as watching TV together, is a low form of intimacy in a relationship. 1:30:58: 🙌 The speaker expresses gratitude and appreciation for the energy and consciousness brought by the interviewee, highlighting their value and connection. MY NOTES: 00:00 - 13:00: Morning routine: To create certainty and control over your day, you want to design and practice a morning routine that best serves your values, goals, intentions, and the mindset you want and need. (I would add that a night time ritual is important too and especially for assessing the past day and planning the next day). Jay's morning routine: Start the day with TIME and BVME. T - Thankfulness and gratitude I - Intention M - Meditation E. - Excercise Meditation is the form of this: B - Breath work V - Visualization M - Mantras, affirmations I would add that for the Mantras part, also have a written creed of sorts (which you can tweak over time and as needed to best serve you) - a written list of your values that you will live according to today to guide your attitudes, decisions, behaviours and actions - to help you be proactive and intentional vs reactive and accidental (where you review your written values along with your goals and intentions and visualizations), and the things you're struggling with / your challenges, and their antidotes. This is to help you live through your values and intentions. And to keep them front and center of your mind every day. So you run you and your day, not your so your day and things and people run you.

It is 3:38am in the east coast, and after tossing and turning for hours trying to sleep, I decided to get up and go to my studio. I said, "Well, I can be upset that I can't sleep or I can be grateful that I work from home and can do literally WHATEVER I want." I decided to put on this episode, and that bit about the morning routine.... Ooooh I'm so excited about starting this. Thanks for this podcast Rangan. I'm a new subscriber. It has already helped me a bunch!

I enjoyed the part of discussion about love. “We limit love”. I feel like love is so often withheld until someone proves they are love worthy. Which is so interesting that we withhold it until….. rather than just experiencing the power of love without conditions.

Thank you! I was in tears. It is so rare to hear single parenting mentioned specifically. It made the talk much more relatable, and I felt acknowledged! I am a single Mama, and survivor of DM. My 8 year old and 6 year old twins ❤️ are my world! But if my personal "bucket" is empty, I cannot parent well. Putting myself first is a skill I am working on actively because it is not easy or comfortable. But much like you Rangan, I am a better parent when I do allow myself that space.

You nailed it! That is very true about intimacy, we are married for 32 yrs going 33 yrs and we can’t wait to feel like dating again like we when we are dating when we first met. Every now and then we travel just to spice up our relationship and to know each other and not to forget who we are when we first met, in my own opinion.

A mamal will protect the primary pack at all times. By snaring when in pain. Our late communication is due to the speed of our prefrontal cortex, that will slow down, if our “someones” their conformaties, habbits or known values are confronted by our own needs or goals..someone snarres, and someone suppresses their feelings and thereby their partners only possibility to connect to another human being, to cool down and re-enter the reality -and relationship where all of us needs them, in order to protect humanity (our pack) In order to love, learn and grow! In the process where individuals and community co-create their common future.❤

I have been surprised that over the conversations I have listened to about health and well-being it has not been spoken about, it being such a major part of being human and how entwined it is with our emotions, physical and mental health. I'd love more insight from you and your speakers Dr. Chatterjee. Thank you for your sharing of knowledge and to your guests.
