Baruka's are awesome. I get them monthly, thanks to you guys! Also really great to see a low alkaloid high protein diet example. I unfortunately burn my gut really badly with alkaloid poisoning after doing celery juice daily for literally 7 months straight, then eating a lot of dandelions and other wild edible weeds for 3 weeks this past spring. Have liver and duodenal damage, can't even handle cruciferous veg right now. If I eat any of these it's instant, completely debilitating gut pain. So looking for plant based meal ideas that are low alkaloid (no greens or cruciferous) for now. God bless!

Try soy granules, chunks and also soy flakes. Soy granuled are a great beef substitute and you can make low carb lasagna, pasta whatever with it. 100g makes about 200g of "beef" with 54g protein and 360 kcals Soy flakes can be added to oatmeal or joghurt. Has also nearly 50% protein

How much protein does an average person need every day… I don’t want to build muscle? I mean I know if You consume too much protein… You can gain weight and it’s also not good for your kidneys…? Luv Your channel.🥰
@j-sm4554
@j-sm4554 4 жыл бұрын
Honestly protein intake is usually overestimated and this is mainly due to decades of marketing efforts from the meat industry. Human breast milk is made of about 7% protein and it's the time in one's life where we grow the most! 10-15% of proteins of your total daily food intake is sufficient. We cannot store protein in the body so any excess is pushed out through the liver and kidneys. Although plant based proteins don't have the same negative effects as animal proteins, making your kidneys and liver work too much unnecessarily is not the best idea. To find out the right amount you may need you can google it and you will find the formula easily. It's around 0.8 g per LEAN pound of body weight. So if you are in excess of 20 pounds of fat you should take that into account. For most people between 55 to 75 g of protein daily will be enough. Up to 100g for a bodybuilder. Which is way lower that what most people assume is needed. There is a great lecture explaining everything about the bio-chemistry of protein in nutrition : kzbin.info/www/bejne/hKXMaH2od7SEd80 Hope this helps.
