@jedicouncil66 check out the videos under the channel "Advanced Gerson Therapy" is run by Dr Vickers. I have a couple interviews on there with him and he does a great job breaking down the science behind it. Breathing techniques was simple. I would do a routine prior to cold water emersion (at least 2 mins) head and neck area minimal. I also believed in myself and would have meditation sessions focusing on mentally simulating my immune system. I would do this prior to sleep.

Just listening to you is so relaxing, i was unable to work for 6 years cause i was crippled with Rheumatoid Arthritis then 3 years ago my friend told me about the techniques you use. First i started the breathing techniques then reluctantly started swimming in winter for 1hr across our river just very slowly whilst controlling my breathing, to my surprise i got use to the cold in minutes and feel great when i get out so now 3 years later in my late 40’s i now function and feel like a 20 year old. No more medications and best of all 98% of my RA symptoms have gone. The techniques you teach have truely saved me and for that i thank you from my heart.

MIRACLES OF THE QURAN Fourteen centuries ago, God sent down the Qur'an to mankind as a book of guidance. He called upon people to be guided to the truth by adhering to this book. From the day of its revelation to the day of judgement, this last divine book will remain the sole guide for humanity. The matchless style of the Qur'an and the superior wisdom in it are definite evidence that it is the word of God. In addition, the Qur'an has many miraculous attributes proving that it is a revelation from God. One of these attributes is the fact that a number of scientific truths that we have only been able to uncover by the technology of the 20th century were stated in the Qur'an 1,400 years ago. However, the Qur'an is not a book of science, it is a book of Signs! Many scientific facts that are expressed in an extremely concise and profound manner in its verses have only been discovered with the technology of the 20th century. These facts could not have been known at the time of the Qur'an's revelation, and this is still more proof that the Qur'an is the word of God. In order to understand the scientific miracle of the Qur'an, we must first take a look at the level of science at the time when this holy book was revealed. In the 7th century, when the Qur'an was revealed, Arab society had many superstitious and groundless beliefs where scientific issues were concerned. Lacking the technology to examine the universe and nature, these early Arabs believed in legends inherited from past generations. They supposed, for example, that mountains supported the sky above. They believed that the earth was flat and that there were high mountains at its both ends. It was thought that these mountains were pillars that kept the vault of heaven high above. However all these superstitious beliefs of Arab society were eliminated with the Qur'an. In Sura Sad, verse 2, it was said: "God is He who raised up the heavens without any support..."(The Qur'an, 38:2). This verse invalidated the belief that the sky remains above because of the mountains. In many other subjects, important facts were revealed at a time when no one could have known them. The Qur'an, which was revealed at a time when people knew very little about astronomy, physics, or biology, contains key facts on a variety of subjects such as the creation of the universe, the creation of the human being, the structure of the atmosphere, and the delicate balances that make life on earth possible. Now, let us look at some of these scientific miracles revealed in the Qur'an together. The Earth's AtmosphereThe Quran on Human Embryonic DevelopmentThe Quran on MountainsThe Quran on the Origin of the UniverseThe Quran on the CerebrumThe Quran on Seas and RiversThe Quran on Deep Seas and Internal WavesThe Quran on CloudsScientists' Comments on the Scientific Miracles in the Holy QuranThe Miracle of IronThe Quran on the Expanding Universe and the Big Bang TheoryThe Victory of the Romans and the Lowest Point on EarthThe Seven Earth's www.allahsword.com/quranic_miracles.html

Another benefit of cold exposure is it clears the breathing passages. I used to suffer from constant, severe nose congestion, especially in winter time. It was driving me crazy. There were times when I couldn't focus on my work, couldn't focus on my reading etc. Throughout this winter I was taking cold showers, and my breathing was free on a constant basis. In the heart of winter! I hadn't breathed so freely since I was a kid. Thank you, Wim.

I can handle it like a cold shower..hope this is helpful for someone else :)

@@Ret_Linemanwater chillers work amazing provided that you get one that is powerful enough to cool the amount of water in the tub. I have to water chillers that is used in the past to cool my water cooled computer and it would get the temps down to around 2C-4C it’s less work than always having to buy or make your own ice however with the water chiller it take at least 30 minutes give or take to start chilling the water depending where you have the tube inside the house or outside. Outside the house is better especially depending on how cold it get outside meaning less time for the water chiller it takes to get the temperatures really low.

What I've learned the most about health is you must have brief moments of stress followed by long moments of recovery. The cold, for example, makes you stressed for a moment because your body suddenly must warm you up. But then, you recover, making you stronger and less stressed by the cold as a result. People misunderstand stress because they think it should be avoided at all costs, but a complete lack of stress weakens you further. Similarly, people should only do a little stress because their bodies won't find the time to recover.

I deadlifted 245 9 times in today’s workout - a PR. That’s actually a dramatic PR. Thank you Wim. you inspired me to start cold water therapy. I posted my first video on my channel today on the top things that i have learnt in my first 30 days of ice baths!

For everyone like me who only takes boiling hot showers, don't think you can't do this! I washed myself in warm water then I just slowly turned the hot water off, and there was only maybe 5 seconds where i felt really cold, but after that - I felt stimulated and somehow joyful and like I'd achieved something really great without much effort at all. I felt like i was a kid again, swimming in the ocean at the start of spring when the water is still cold. Will definitely be doing this again tomorrow

how long do you stay in the cold shower?

This is how I started and I've recently started having 100% cold ones for about ten minutes. They feel amazing now. I quite literally look forward to having them. Come out feeling buzzing in body and mind for hours after.

@@vickiewessel2478 start at 15 seconds and then work it up by 5 seconds at a time until you get to 1-3 minutes. Then if you are comfortable increase a little further to 5 minutes which is where I'm at now. I may increase to 7 or even 10 minutes in the future but I think 10 minutes is the max (or so I've been told).

@@vickiewessel2478 you're welcome. It took me about half a year to get to 5 minutes as I was gradually increasing and then stayed at a certain time for a period as I wasn't ready to increase and then gradually when I felt ready I could increase a little more each time I showered. You can go to the cold 100% but if you are starting you do the cold shower after a warm one. My goal is to do 100% cold for 5 minutes and ice baths.

Remember Wim to put your face into the cold water. Your Vagus nerves run into and through your face; thus you can see when someone is nervous in their face. This will help shock your body onto that warm state and bring you to that next level of calm coherent heart beat. Breathe well my friends. Just not under the water.😅

Great Wim , the thing is overcooming the psychological inertai you wouldn't believe the old...on my scheme I had the council and the police around , a few months ago , but some in the council said great ....YES it is psychologically the most difficult protocol , cold showers are ok but don't really cut it , I get into my thoughts too much , lots of obstacles still no tooth buds dupytrens , sacked from NHS post for asking questions , but yes I agree when I do go down to the stream it as if I override all of this !

I'm in Florida and it's hard to get cold water here. It comes out of the tap at 70F even in January! But I've been able to get it around 50 pretty regularly. One thing I've discovered is that if I keep my hands out of the water, I was able to add to my time without additional effort. Just something that worked for me, hope it works for you if you decide to try it!
