Nobodies seizures are the same. Your "example" isn’t true and you're giving terrible information

13:24 I have a question about bruises. If someone was killed by Sharp force trauma would there be bruising in relation to the injuries? If there was a fight and perhaps they bumped into things trying to get away from the assailant would those bruises become visible at death if the person was then swiftly killed by the weapon? (In this case a knife) This question is in relation to a very well known case (Moscow Idaho Greek-life students) I ask because the father of a victim referred to bruising and knife tears in the same breath. I’m told that knives don’t tear or leave bruises which leaves me thinking that maybe he was talking about two injuries and it just sounded like one (and maybe just used the wrong word: “tear”) but then I was thinking that maybe these bruises were not new at all because I would have thought bruising would take time to appear?

Trauma survivors with DID can be frozen after a medical crisis or a fire emergency. They can have extremely low HR, B/P, and be unable to communicate clearly. This is not calmness. This is terror. They may be afraid of you touching them in any way, not give you eye contact, and be unresponsive to your words while hearing everything you say. Their refusal of medical attention is not being difficult. It is extreme fear. Be compassionate and think of how you would treat a very young child instead of the adult that you see in front of you.

She makes it sound like every patient is an extremist. I bet she doesn't know that most hospitals only give the patient about a 19 minute course on how to care for their trach. I wish she couldn't breathe for a couple of minutes. I would laugh if I seen her struggling after watching this video.

Some medical staff are just unable to empathize and stand in the shoes of patients. It really hurts the patients emotionally on top of the actual physical suffers. :(

This gal is nuts. At 31-32:00 minutes she says all inner cannula can be washed & reinsert. She told the class to stick a cotton ball into the inner cannula to clean it if you have to. That's a lawsuit in the making. If the cotton got stuck in there & the patient inhaled any fibers from it this can cause lung damage. I wish someone would hold her down & put a trach in her neck. She would change her tune & tone real fast. This video made me furious. I live with a trach & if she did some of the things she is talking about I would go nuts on her. Don't believe everything you see & hear on KZbin or any social media website. I stopped watching at 40 minutes because she is off the wall.

Pikesville Volunteer Fire Company in Baltimore County MD is second to none in bringing in THE BEST speakers on EMS topics!! The knowledge is geared to EMS and delivered by, literally, some of the top experts in the world (many from Johns Hopkins and R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center and other centers of excellence). If you are not watching and learning from these videos (they have a huge bank of these recorded), you are missing a huge opportunity to be the healthcare provider/clinician you could be.
