The things that come up while being. While being yoga on the mat, moving ways to love oneself. Keep shinning. Your light touches the world.
@AdellBridges5 күн бұрын
I realised it’s been A WHILE since I posted a bit of my self-practice like I used to do. This is mostly because for the last 6 months I’ve barely had a self-practice 😣 Moving back to the UK, some random illnesses, and a good bit of travel have kept me from feeling grounded in a routine like I like to be. It’s so clear to me how much this neglect of my practice has negatively affected my whole being. But another thing is, there was a time that having something to post to Instagram was a powerful motivation for me to get on my mat. And then I became increasingly disdainful towards Instagram and simultaneously tried pandering to the algorithm. So I stopped posting my practice, and thus ended that source of motivation. So anyway I thought I’d resume using this space as a little bit of a journal of my practice, and not care (try not to) if these videos get 2 views or 2 million. #thepatheticthingsmybraincaresabout #yogapractice #asana #yogamotivation #yogasequence #yogainspiration

Im only going to practice the opening shuffle to my mat. Looks like you practiced this with a stack of books on your head! Genius alignment. Ok fine my future knees thank you immensly. They will stop with the rattle rattle creek creek and sound smooth like this jam.

Come at me yoga police 👮🤡 yes I’m suggesting bringing your knees over your toes 😇 This is one of my favourite moves for building coordination, mobility, balance, and confidence in your body! We’ve been working on these moves on @movewithadell this month and we’ve got a super fun live class coming up to focus on scorpion squat (30 Sept @ 13:00UTC) That’s all. I used to write long captions but I don’t have it in me lately 🤔 love you! #yoga #yogainspiration #legmobility

I LOVE this move because whether you get the whole shin down or just the toes, by keeping your pelvis lifting up the whole time you’re getting into so many areas of the hips and legs! It makes an appearance in the newest flow on Move with Adell! Join in there (🔗 in proflie) ALSO if you struggle with the first variation, use the second variation to open up your ankle and it may help you get there faster (ankles and hips are connected!) #yogaflow #yogaonline

I'm experiencing some regression... I was able to do my Pincha without a wall and I was already practicing for handstand, but then I had some personal stuff going on in my life and my brain went into "safe mode" and now I'm scared of falling again :( Do you know how can I bring my confidence back? hehe. Thanks for your amazing videos and teachings! Saludos desde México! ☺

Thanks for the helpful video. Is it ok to do pancake stretches when having yoga butt? Thanks in advance ✨
@AdellBridges10 күн бұрын
Yes and possibly helpful AS LONG AS you keep the muscles you're stretching slightly active (perhaps by pushing the heels into the floor), move SLOWLY towards the stretch, and avoid doing it if the injury is new. Sending heeling vibes to your yoga butt!

Handstands take TIME AND PRACTICE to learn so I always say: build the drills -and handstands themselves- into your existing habits! So if you practice yoga asana regularly, replace the old stepping forward to lunge with this Even if you’re not ready to go vertical, doing THIS repeatedly will build a lot of the strength you need for handstand! Plus it’s fun 🤩 🌴🤸 RETREAT & Handstand with me in Morocco! 14-20 Dec 🌴🤸 Questions? Leave a comment 🤩
