Did this as a "follow-along".. first time doing sandbag work...15kg bag...WOW! ONE round was ENOUGH!😅🤣 WHEW! Funk you destroyed me with this one!😅😅 MORE workouts like this please!😀😅💪🏻

I did these at the gym. Someone thought I was crazy. I only had fifteen minutes between clients. Then someone tried them and was dying. I saw this when I was working with a client.

Some of these are pretty advanced movements with the bags, just so newer people know. If you try these use appropriate weight if you're new. Your back will thank you

Even if you're quite strong lifting weights in the gym I'd say 20kgs is a nice weight to start out for most of these exercises as they're cardio exercises. Look forward to see how much weight I'll end up doing with these exercises, probably some weak muscle areas that I've not trained so much with barbells and dumbells, moving to this kind of training is partly to develop strength from every angle. Don't go buying 75kgs of sand like I did although I do have one big sandbag full of sand which I can do bent over rows, deadlifts and so on, not too bad.

Supposedly the stitches on the bag are super heavy duty and are meant to be pulled on. Only time will tell.

Im struggling with what kind of weight I should get. Im teetering between up to 75lbs, or up to 125lbs.

I'm 5'8", 175 lbs and fairly fit. I went with a 75 lb bag and filled it with 60 lbs of sand. I am glad I didn't go heavier. I think the statistic is when using a sandbag, people lift 60% of what they would if using regular weights.

Just tried this with a 50 lb bag. Smoked. Just went for 10 reps each. Took light breaks in between exercises. Going to do 1 more full set and call it a day. Goal is to get to 3. I'm fat so dont go by my routine

Use good filler bags. Shells from Brute Force training. And if the fates are still not on your side you can switch to pea gravel.

i dont see much of a difference between sandbags and kettlebells... look likes basic kettlebell snatches , a lateral variation of a clean, a clean and front squat,bent over rows, lunges , and high pulls etc. Just done with a slight variation for a different implement.. i use a sandbag kettlebell sometimes. |

I agree only positive difference is the sandbag can vary in weight. I believe there is a kettlebell sandbag which I believe is what you were referring to.
