That's awesome! Use whatever you have. Cones aren't important, they are just a tool. I didn't have cones with me recently so I used bottle caps and whatever else I could find. Keep working hard and thanks for sharing your story!

These drills are great, but fit into a more broad training program. Change of direction drills like this are similar to adding leg days, so you have to be careful not to overload your legs. Kid training is about technical development. These drills are good, but we want to emphisize technique. Your choice, but early on do more reps. while you master them. Once my athletes are proficient I move quickly. I typically doing 2 reps. each direction per drill. I group the drills based on similarity, 3 cones, 4, etc.
