@@AT-mu6ov 1. No numbers doesn’t legitimize abortion. It didn’t call for the killing of an unborn child for a wife having committed adultery. The niv translates it badly but in the Hebrew and Aramaic, it reads differently. 2. It doesn’t say Jesus didn’t come to change the law. It says “i did not come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it” He wasn’t “doing away” with the law, he came to fulfill the law on behalf on those who would believe. So that people wouldn’t have to “keep the law” in order to be declared right before God. The pro-abortion argument ultimately rationalizes paying for a mistake at the cost of a human life. Nobody wants to feel bad for getting an abortion, so they’ll come up with language that removes any trace of humanity from an unborn baby, extricating themselves from guilt. Because why would you feel bad about getting an abortion if you really believe it is just a clump of cells? Destiny is a far cry from a moral rock, with the lifestyle he chooses to live. It still weirds me out how invested simps get with the pro-abortion crowd. Pro-abortion people call pro-lifers idiots. I’d rather be the idiot that believes children should be born, and not the genius that thinks killing babies is a good thing.
@IvanGonzalez-kf4lp Жыл бұрын
None of that actually contend with any part of the argument.. if you feel it’s inconsistent.. which part exactly? The rest is just ad hominem attacks. You need to be able to articulate why the argument fails and then mount your counter response. Which you haven’t done.

@@IvanGonzalez-kf4lpthe argument fails because Destinys entire position relies on his philosophical concept of personhood. Pro abortion advocates can neither prove why _their_ arbitrary assignment of “personhood” is valid, nor can they prove why arbitrary assignment of personhood is conditional for human rights protection...
@IvanGonzalez-kf4lp Жыл бұрын
It’s not a random assignment of personhood and the validation behind consciousness is that the fundamental aspect of a human that we value and that makes the life worth protecting and preserving IS the capacity to deploy a conscious experience. For instance, you can lose or replace almost ANY part of you human body. Any organ, any limb Andy part but so long as you retain an ability to deploy a conscious experience you remain a life worth preserving. Now on the contrary, you can keep fully intact EVERY other part of the human body but if you no longer have the ability to deploy a conscious experience… you’re no longer a life worth preserving because the critical thing that made you, ‘you’… is forever gone and so we pull the plug. Now to tackle your statement about why do we have to select a point to assign personhood… because we just do. Even if you assign it at conception you need a rational for it.

Lila you ought to ask whether abortion solely for sex-selection &/or for ridding society of “undesirables”/eugenics is AOK with those who, like this guy, say they “just don’t care” that abortion indisputably ends at least one human life! Also, if Scientists found a “clump of replicating cells (aka “life”) on Mars~ would the Scientific Community & all of humankind not conclude “there’s life on Mars?”
@JohnDoe-dr9ff Жыл бұрын
True, single cell organism are life, but to be fair, Destiny was arguing that a “person” does not deserve the human right to life until it experiences consciousness. The problem with that argument is consciousness is not a valid qualifier if a human being deserves the right to life or not. If a human being is alive; regardless of mental or physical state or consciousness, that human being has the right to live. His argument is flawed at its core. Either a human being has a right to life in ALL situations, or it does not as we can use ANY qualifier to justify killing (murdering) it.

His debate was embarrassing. The best part was when the host asked him to stop slouching and he got defensive. Although there was a lot of talking over each other on both sides, he didn’t just speak over you both - he actively got louder, would make loud exasperated noises like a child, just an array of strange antics to have when debating the destruction of the most innocent human lives - debating with two women who deserved a lot more respect than that. It really did come off as sexist. Lila really does have a knack for talking to people about these things though. It’s interesting to see how peoples demons come out around her. That other man who emulates Andrew Tate on the other whatever podcast, and the young woman who unfortunately started using something in the bathroom - then this display - it’s actually fascinating to watch peoples demons come out and Lila just stays focused on bringing the conversation back to the babies in the womb. All the love to Kristen, I’d probably mention how misogynistic Destiny sounds, too; but Lila really stays focused on the mission. It’s impressive to watch.

Not to mention the emotionally charged language and presupposing that children are "alive" to attack the morality of your opponent in a debate about abortion is really illogical. They're literally there to discuss whether it's a person or not. Destiny sounds "misogynistic " because he is talking to women the same as anyone else? He talks to men the same exact way and nobody cares at all.

Precisely. @@theresas2520 I think the issue is: it is clear. It is even simple to understand. But it's not easy to accept. And in an age in which we try to brush away all responsibilities, all duties and focus only on 'rights', on this "me me me!" grabbing of libertine things, we forget that actions have consequenses, and we rather swipe them under the rug (in the cae of a newly conceived life, throw it in the rubbish bin via an abortion [which can be rather traumatic, but truth must bend to the ideology, like Stalin more or less said once, iirc]).

I think it’s less that they don’t know the definitions, but that they know that committing to a precise definition opens one up to criticism that they don’t want to be nailed down on. Committing to precise definitions would clear up the fog necessary for their arguments to work. They need that fog.

@@christopherponsford8385 Agreed. I just remember when I had debate in middle school, if we didn’t know the definitions of words we were using for an argument, our teacher would fail us immediately. Destiny leads me to believe he never had a debate class, or he is an outright liar. I don’t think he’s stupid, so I’m left with him being a disingenuous liar to argue his positions.

Amazing Women!!!!!! I am praying for them. Thanks for your strong efforts in protecting God's children!!!

unfortunately, this podcast was over 4 hours long and this clip is only 30 mins long. If you watch the entire debate, these two women regularly resorted to insult, gish gallop, hubris, and Ad Hominem attack. They could not understand the concept of hypothetical and they would not listen to any answers to their questions. The entire debate was so riddled with arrogance that nothing was solved. They were possibly the two worst pro life debaters I've heard and set the debate backwards by years.

Poor guy, he will find Lila in his pillow, his soup, in the clouds… I mean, when you are so destroyed that you end up screaming “ruuum, ruuum” throwing tantrums like a child, justifying the murder of the innocent, the disabled, and so cornered to say that even the Nazis are right… you’re brain has completely exploded by then. Well done Lila, as usual. Talk about empowered women.

Funny, because the only people who think Lilia did well are on this channel. Even other pro-lifers admit that these chicks can't debate worth a damn.

22:07 The most insane part of this whole debate. Destiny literally saying well what if the statistics you cited were the opposite lol

He can’t let her speak without interrupting whatsoever. He also has zero valid arguments. He just seems like an angry man child. I’m embarrassed for him.

watch the whole podcast they interrupted way more. or stay in your delusion. no skin off my back.

This is quite frustrating to read - please watch the full debate. There's a person who tallies up interruptions and "speaking time" in debates like these and for this particular debate, Lila and Kristen interrupted Destiny twice as often as he interrupted them. There are also some hysterical blunders throughout the debate on the pro-life side, and if you browse the comment section on the @whatever podcast's upload of the video you'll find many pro-lifers disavowing Lila and Kristen's performance for being a poor showing.

Stop talking over one another, plz. Good discussion but it's one-sided. One guy can't keep up with two women in an argument and still be respectful.
