I adore how the developers made a covenant equal to almost every UNSC weapon and then some. It just adds that extra layer of thoughtfulness to every Halo game, and i feel that Halo 3 is tue embodiment of this. It still has my favorite sandbox out of any Halo game to this day. The Brute Mauler is a seriously slept on weapon even 17 years later. No one goes for the Maulers in the PVP maps, even though it's literally a shotgun and dominates. The Carbine is a BR, the Fuel Rod Gun is a Rocket Launcher. Yes i KNOW the fans already know this, but it revolutionized gameplay for me as a kid because if i had run out of sniper bullets, i could pick up a beam rifle from a dead Jackal and keep going. It genuinely made things more fun for me and made me play more aggressively because I didnt always have to focus on conserving my ammunition. Fighting the flood and run out of shotgun shells? That's fine, pick up a Mauler from a Brute-turned-Flood and keep on breaking through those lines. Did your Scorpion tank explode? Hijack a Wraith and your Marine buddy will even man the turret for you. There's just so much variety in these weapons it is literally IMPOSSIBLE to not have fun with them all. Every weapon and vehicle is viable and satisfying to use.

Frank oconner was just the community director for bungie before getting promoted to a 343 higher up, he had nothing to do with the stories of H1 - Reach and seemingly knew very little about the nuances of the halo story, he wrote the terminals about the ancient humans and forerunners. He is the one who changed humans being forerunners

I feel like halo 3 was the game that cemented that the forerunners are literally human. Multiple characters say humans are forerunners. Don’t try and fit halo 4s lore in there 343 has no idea what halo is. Only bungie truly knows.

I keep watching these videos when I go to bed. Nowadays, I was confused by the fact there's only Halo 1 - 3 & ODST but not, Halo: Reach, Halo 4, Halo 5, Halo Wars 1 & 2, and Halo: Infinite retrospectives. Since I feel like, hearing your opinions & thoughts on them would be good.

When I was in high school, I was given admin access to the Mac lab for some reason, and I installed Marathon onto them. Eventually we had to remove it because the multiplayer network traffic brought the LocalTalk network to its knees, and even things like print jobs couldn’t get through. 😂

I’ve got a serious question for any Halo fan reading this; Some say that the Flood are not corrupted Precursors, but instead ARE the Precursors as they were. If that is the case, how did the Forerunners nearly wideout the Precursors before the creation of the halo rings?

One of my favorite halo games. But The silenced smg is one of the worst weapons ever in Halo. SMGs were meant for duel weilding to begin with in halo 2 and 3. They take half that power away then put a silencer on it for stealth, cool I've always wanted a stealthy campaign. Except stealth does nothing in this game. Shooting with a silencer, you alert EVERYONE every time so let me the duel-weild it. The game introduced firefight and we cant duel-weild for that? The silenced SMG is just as BAD as the magnum. Don't get the CE magnum confused with ODSTs magnum.

I’ve played Halo ever since CE as a kid. I still remember the day 3 came out. Sitting at school waiting for the bell to ring to sprint to my buddies house where me and about 6 of my friends all got together with our game fuel and played through the whole campaign, plus multiplier, all night into the next afternoon. Hands down will always be my favorite game and some of my fondest memories.

The covenant got the idea of plasma weapon from observing their sun as it shot out a solar flare they use this concept to make their plasma weapon possible.

To say that Halo 3 changed the Forerunners is completely disingenuous. Frank O'Connor changed the Forerunners. Although he later changed everything when he took over during 343i, at the time still Halo 3 treated the Forerunnres as humans. Only some terminals written by Frank and the Iris campaign directed by him were retconns of the already established Forerunner lore.

This was simply fantastic to watch.
