www.buymeacoffee.com/Barlates Welcome to the Metabolic Training Series. These 4 workouts are designed to rev up your metabolism, burn calories and build strength in your entire body. Each workout includes targeted strength training exercises and also has a high cardio factor. There's heaps of variety in the exercises as well as across the 4 workouts. You won't be bored!
In Metabolic Training Box Sculpt you will start with fun boxing combinations to burn fat and sculpt lean arms. You will then use your chair to elevate some side leg raises in various positions to fully fatigue the outer thighs and glutes. Then you will hit the mat with the medium weights and a resistance band to work the chest and abs with some fun combination moves. Finally you will finish with a tough abs series before ending with a lengthening stretch.
Equipment needed: chair, light hand weights (500 gram/1 lb) medium weights (3.5kg or 8lb) and a resistance band
Fitness Level: Intermediate Advanced to Advanced (modifications available)

I enjoyed this workout very much I made some modifications but the more complicated sequences were fun this time!!! What is also amusing is when I can't anymore I hear Linda saying "keep going"... eheheh 😉😎🐰👍

Awesome workout! My body wanted to quit at the end after the leg work, 😅 but I pushed through. I love how your workouts mix with so many different techniques (barre, boxing, Pilates, weight training, HIIT, and more). Those switch-ups and all of the high to low moves are definitely getting my body to change! Thank you so much, Linda! Day 30 of the 30-day fat loss challenge completed! Tomorrow morning is measurements day. I can’t wait to check my progress before I move onto the next challenge! I made it!! 🎉 wooohooo!!

I loved this workout! I decided to challenge myself and go up 1lb for the punching combos and I made it through! I surprised myself. I was a bit more fatigued when I got to the floor, but it was worth it! That resistance band portion was super tough...especially those push-ups! 😅Thanks for another fun and challenging day! 🎉🔥💖

A lot of the time it is a psychological game. I remember one time, when I was lifting heavy weights, I looked at the weight I used last time I did an exercise and didn't realize it was for a stronger body part. I still managed to complete it - mind over matter! 😊

Knocked it out of the park again! I love getting my cardio in and then strength💪🏼 I feel I get a better range of motion when I’m all warmed up👍🏼 And golly this was a great workout for the brain! When I’m focusing on proper form I don’t feel the pain as much😆 Except when the chair is out. I always feel chair work! Thank you for the burn now and the inevitable burn later🔥🔥🔥

Next time you do it the cardio will be easier. Even if you get some of it messed up don't worry, just keep moving! Imagine that when I am filming it I have to count it and cue it at the same time, I have messed up heaps of times 😊

I often think of that and can’t imagine how difficult that must be! Even breathing and talking!! The hardest part was the choreography! Your cues definitely helped tho!

I guess it depends on how postnatal you are, whether you were exercising before and whether your doctor has cleared you to exercise. These Metabolic workouts are advanced so you might want to start with something easier? 😊

@@barlatesbodyblitz Linda, I'm very interested in your bootcamp series. Are these workouts less intense than this one? I previewed and I noticed there's quite no jumping. I cannot jump that much because of my back.

The boot camp series is very different in that it is mostly barre not weights and other equipment. It is low impact and is a great cardio sculpt workout. I am sure you will enjoy it too 😄
