Love the concentric circles. It’s so refreshing to hear your take on sharing our blue flame with people beyond the 4 walls of our home! I would love to see all Catholics embrace this idea of living expansive outward lives not just insular.

Can we please have a “dating in your 30s/40s” village hustle episode? I just listened to the paradigm episode but part of the fear of turning 40 is the fertility question. Can we bring back the village matchmaker, please?

asperger’s is the extremely outdated term, it’s the name of the guy who wanted to cure autism bc he thought of it as a sickness. there are many more ways to say that you’re on the spectrum without perpetuating those outdated ideologies

Jen! What the hell?? I get all the way to the end, on KZbin so it took me 3 seperate days because I listen to you while I do my housework. I was with you the whole way and have finally come to accept that my crazy panic that kills my husband and makes my children think Mummy doesn’t love them is most likely due to unprocessed stress BUT as I am coming to grips with this albeit self diagnosis, I hear the beautiful words “So what do you do..?” And then YOU stop and say we are dealing with it next week! 😡 You are very lucky that I have loved you for 8 years now

Are you planning on writing another book? This would be a great subject and I love your take on it. Very helpful. Especially interested in how community/family can help with processing stress as opposed to isolation
@meganlazare91776 күн бұрын
I’m going to start using that term “unprocessed stressed” cuz YES that sounds so much more appropriate than the word” trauma” because to me that sounds way too dramatic and overused …so then unfortunately comes the tendency to sweep stuff under the rug..thanks !

I haven't read the comments yet so sorry if I'm repeating, but if you've read the body keeps the score , Jenna summarizing it well! One note though, I found that book very hard to read and could only read it in very small parts. If we're allowed to say triggered it definitely triggered me

Re: cruises. I love them because I don't have to cook, clean, drive or provide entertainment for my kids. HOWEVER, I think you hate them because they are a concentration of lots of things you abhor: being outside, being stuck with other people, making small talk, relaxing (being unproductive ;), and not having wifi. You also don't mind plane travel, so a boat is superfluous to your ability to travel. My husband HATES planes, so a boat is a good option for traveling outside the country. Hopes this helps 😂

Jen, I totally follow you because you show me how to laugh at the unnecessary, ridiculous and unhelpful things that come from the Catholic ghetto and mommy blogger types. Thank you for helping me process my stress in these areas!!

As a former mental health professional I absolutely love your “unprocessed stress” discussion. You really broke down the process/concept to an understandable level. Funny that I had not heard of Bert until I saw him on an After Midnight short last week. In my head you are more famous 🤷🏻♀️ Looking forward to your special. ❤👏🏻

Jen, this is mind blowing! I am familiar with all that you have discussed and have even read the book in an attempt to understand my own state of life, but your ability to break it all down, reframe things, give us new vocabulary and precisely describe the actual feelings that come with this process is EXTREMELY helpful. I came for the “funny” and left with some genuine healing. Of course, it’s not lost on me that humor in and of itself is healing! It is also easy to see that you were called to comedy! It is your vocation! And like any vocation, it provides light, and love, and healing to the world. I’m so grateful you said “yes” to it. Thank you!
