I’ve always been slim, and I clicked on this video because I was curious to know what exactly you think I do that others don’t, because from my perspective I don’t do anything special. But wow this was enlightening, I didn’t realize that these are habits that others form that I never did. Really helped me understand the thought processes behind certain behaviors. Thank you!

Same. I had no idea that these were things people did. I’ve always been happy to give away food because it’s likely to go bad before I have the chance to finish it. I never eat things I don’t like - I only eat real ice cream, chocolate, chips etc. However, I also grew up in an environment where we didn’t eat fancy, food was there when we were hungry and we were told to stop eating when we were full. I honestly were rather be hungry than too full - I just hate the feeling so much. I’m 5’6” and wear a US size 4/6

The part where you said eating more makes you crave more... I totally get that. I've never heard anyone say it but hearing it inspires me to eat a little less which for me is good. I have always thought its because your sugar and salt levels get out of whack with extra food especially junk food and makes you crave more. I'm still figuring it out!

It's true though if your blood sugars stayed raised from eating a lot or often then when the blood sugars will finally come down again hard then your hungry again. Eating less and or fasting is best for controlling hungers.

Recently, I've lost a big amount of weight. I feel better, happier, lighter, but sometimes I notice some red flags from my eating disorder I had a long time ago, which I managed to recover from. I know that I can get any food I want, any time, any amount, but now sometimes anxiety and fear of getting a bit bigger hits me. I've found your channel during my weight loss journey. Your videos help me to stay calm and remind me that everything is fine. I can always change my body however I want, I just need to be more gentle, kind, and caring with myself. I'm learning how to take care of my body, which I have now, how to give it the best nutrition so it stays healthy and helps me in everyday life. Thank you for sharing your tips and your love with us💜💜💜 Love you💜

ive always been slim, and while i do understand my genetics played a big role in this, i also noticed a lot of habits that bigger people were doing that i was not doing. for example, eating really large portions. at restaurants my bigger friends would eat the entire meal and then a dessert and maybe even some appetizer. whereas i would be taking half of my meal home for later and didnt really like desserts and thought appetizers were too expensive. i realized a lot of it came down to the difference in quantity. i was eating less food on average.

I’ve lost 20+ lbs. so far since November 2022 and tbh the biggest thing is just eating a smaller quantity of the foods I used to love, and halting my food consumption at a specific time each day. I literally eat anything I want, just smaller (up to 400-500 kcals per meal). And if that means asking the waiter to pack up my meal for later, that’s exactly what I do. I also try to stop eating altogether by 4-5pm so I can give my digestive system a decent rest. It’s been pretty straightforward and healthy. Not like other times when I would go into weight loss in a consciously sick way, knowing fully well I would gain it all back because I was eating far too little and doing it for all the wrong reasons. This time, it’s been so much easier and NOT rooted in disordered eating or the need for absolute control.

The human stomach can expand alot, as well as shrink down, so when you do eat a lot it does get bigger temporarily. The opposite is also true, that's why fasting for longer periods (intermittent fasting) can make you feel fuller faster. You notice people in ED recovery not being able to eat a regular portion size because their stomachs shrunk significantly.

Most people approach weight loss with calorie restriction and exercise when it in reality its about eliminating the foods that make you fat to begin with. Most people can't do that though because comfort eating is so engrained into their day to day life.

i actually used to be much skinnier in high school because of the habits i had. my dentist scared me into never drinking juice because he said my teeth were going to fall out. so i stuck to water most of the time. i also drank tea because thats when i was first getting into asian food. interestingly, my interest in asian food has actually contributed to my weight gain over the years because i use much more fattier meat cuts, i eat dessert more often (asian desserts are sooo good), drink more sweetened beverages, and i use more oil in my cooking. work life has been the biggest contributer though because im too stressed and tired to work out, meal prep, and i end up binge eating fast or instant food a lot of the time plus snacks. not to mention the amount of sweets my workplace always puts in the lounge. in high school though, i was just so self conscious that i cared about everything i did and how others would see me, so i ate very clean, worked out, and took a lot of care in how i looked. and i notice that now i crave more unhealthy food than i did before and i stopped craving healthier foods like i used to. i used to eat lots of berries, spinach salads, and chicken breast and i rarely eat them anymore and reach for chips and fatty beef or pork instead. im trying to go back to my old habits again, but its very difficult as a full time working adult.

Your stomach definitely does shrink if you eat less! It's why the first few days of a diet are the worst (assuming you're only eating in a slight deficit). It's also why the first few days of gaining weight from a past with a restrictive eating disorder can be so physically painful.

If you don't like standard plane meal you could order special meal. It's free for most non- loucosters 3,5+ hours fly. Some meals are pretty good, I prefer order some vegetarian fruit meal for night fly. I'll sleep there anyway, so but I'll have good extra snack. Or diabetics/low calorie ones are usually more "whole" than standard, like you will have actual piece of fish/meat instead of meatballs.

@suncrificed
@suncrificed Жыл бұрын
Hey, I know you didn't asked me lol but I wanted to let you know that there's no actual toned/flat stomach workouts. The body can't lose localized fat, which means you need to lose fat all over to get that "flat" stomach you want. Additionally, I think you would benefit from doing weight training. Muscle helps with the fat lose and gives that toned look you're looking for. Maybe if you also want try and do abs workouts, so you can make them bigger! Hope this can help you 💛😊
@suncrificed
@suncrificed Жыл бұрын
Sorry I didn't say this before but if you do weight training I suggest you to go to a dietitian or look online yourself because you will need to increase your protein intake. Muscle is made from protein and there are certain proteins that will help you built them.
@pfufu8594
@pfufu8594 Жыл бұрын
If you want slim model body and a flat stomach, I don't recommend you to do weight trainings. I mean, if you want to, you can do some light weight trainings, but nothing more. As for me, doing too much weight trainings make my body looking bulky. I don't do such mistake now, I rarely do weight trainings now, cardio and a lot of stretches after make my body look slim. Also, if you have a lot body fat and you do weight trainings, that will just make it worse. Muscles will be growing under your fat layer so you won't get flat stomach. 20 minute cardio and 15 minute abs workout + calorie deficit will be already enough for you to get flat/toned stomach (you can increase that time after you get used). You actually have to try things so you can know what works the best for you~
@wilhm1

@@pfufu8594 Thank you for the advice, last month I did a few different cardio workouts and I’ve lost 4 pounds or so but my stomach still looks the same I think. It’s not toned yet either but im not giving up, I just need some help choosing workouts to do that work best. Do you have any ab or cardio workouts you recommend?
@primegrind144
@primegrind144 Жыл бұрын
@@wilhm1 Abs are muscles that come from weight training, not cardio. Cardio just trims off the fat layer on top of the abdominal muscles to make them more visible. But if there’s no muscles underneath to begin with, NO amount of cardio will give you abs. I’d suggest focusing on building muscle and eating enough protein first, then entering a calorie deficit with cardio after.

I’m the same way. Carnivore diet helped me so much with my sugar cravings. Ending sugar completely is so hard but trying to limit sugar intake was more difficult than cutting it completely. The first week was a nightmare but then the cravings disappeared. I don’t like sugar other than fruit but when I eat sugar I can’t control myself. Once I get to a healthy body weight (30lbs to go and I lost 50lbs so far) I’ll slowly try to introduce sugar again. I really want to try to limit it because there’s some sugary things I do enjoy like fruit but i end up binging it and binging other foods along with it.

I feel like this video is kind of ignorant. Nothing against your advice, it’s pretty good. BUT THE CAPTION. I have met a lot of slim people who literally don’t behave like that, they did a lot or even all of the „wrong“ things you talked about. Also you put the idea in peoples head that slim people have deserved their physique by following that disciplined behaviour. Same old story and a complete prejudice. This is the same old BULLSH** that makes people judge naturally curvy people like me to be lazy and not do anything at all, while slim people have the hood habits. But the crazy thing is, I live way healthier than most of my skinny friends and they do even agree on saying things like: I’m trying to live healthier, not as healthy as you obviously, but wanna improve this and that. UGH, ignorant videos/captions like these really get me angry. AND NO, NOT EVERYBODY OUT THERE WILL GET SLIM BY FOLLOWING THAT ADVICE, I’m THE LIVING PROOF OF IT. DONT BE FRUSTRATED, BEING SLIM IS NOT THE MAIN GOAL, LIKE CREATORS IN THOSE VIDEOS PUT IN YOUR HEADS.
@kachuleinchen
@kachuleinchen Жыл бұрын
I've always been at a healthy weight (sometimes looking slimmer, sometimes a little less) but I still want to lose a bit of weight and get leaner. I went into this video thinking that I do all of these things because I sometimes compare myself to my naturally skinny friends (I know I shouldn't do that) and wonder what I could be doing better. But I was surprised that I didn't do any of this. Except maybe the breaking sugar habits thing - for me it's not a habit though, I simply have a huge sweet tooth (mainly dark chocolate though), so I have to work on that. One of my friends said she prefers salty snacks and isn't much of a fan of sweet things and I was like "wow, is there a way to become more like that?" I wish I didn't like chocolate this much haha but I'd say I manage my sweet tooth relatively well and eat quite healthy/balanced... but hey, there are always things to improve on and as soon as I've fully recovered from ankle surgery and can get back into working out, I'm confident I'll hit my goals. :) Thank you for this video, it was very insightful!!🩷 edit: as for habits I've changed to lose a bit of weight in the past: - cut out sugary beverages; I've been drinking only water and tea for the past decade. Rarely, I'll have coffee or chocolate (both without sugar) or freshly pressed fruit juice. - I try to eat slower so my stomach can tell me I'm full before I've ate a bit too much - I stop when I'm full even if there's still food on my plate -> I can eat leftovers later on. - if I crave an unhealthy snack or want dessert, I make sure to always combine it with something healthy, like an apple or veggies. - I also started eating a little less and I also feel like my stomach "shrunk" since I can get full with smaller portions these days. - This is a BIG ONE for me: Eating meals from smaller plates. For me, visuals are always a part of my food/mealtime. If I have a serving on a big/regular plate, it doesn't fill up the whole plate and in my mind, it feels like I'm not eating enough and this could lead to overeating. If I put the same size serving on a smaller plate which is fully filled, the serving looks "bigger" and I feel like I will be full afterwards.
