I think this is astounding that all of this is finally coming to light. After years of watching western cultures get fatter/more obese, increase in autoimmune/metabolic diseases, heart attacks/strokes, type 2 diabetes etc we finally realize the food pyramids were all a sham for businesses to profiteer.

Oh no!!!!! I'm so sorry you had to throw it away Paula! The recipe specifies non-stick baking paper as otherwise it will just stick to it. I've amended the recipe so that bit is now in bold lettering. Hope you'll try it again (NB. if you only have normal baking paper, you'll just need to grease it first).

Thanks Ladies - from a little island off the US coast where we do most of our shopping online - what’s the proper correct name of that jar of your secret ingredient - the seasoning mix - the transcript has it spelled several ways - I’d like to order some but need to know the actual name - Is it ZARTAR? Or Zaa’tar or what ? Pity you didn’t hold the jar closer to the camera so we could read the label. Thanks again! Okay - I managed to find it Za’atar - made with Hyssop in Palestine… ordered some. Thank you.

@@PeppermintWellness - Thank you! Yes, I had never heard of this ‘spice’ before and was interested in trying it. Out here on the island we have to order a lot of things on-line because the local grocery provides all the ‘basics’ but not the ‘exotic’ items. We have a lot of Brazilian and Jamaican options - bcoz we have a lot of people coming from those populations here - but not so much from the Mediterranean cultures. I already use all these seeds (most of them) to make my breakfast and only this week suddenly realized they would also make tasty crackers if I would just heat up the oven and bake them probably. Thank you again.

Fascinating talk. I’ve barely used salt in cooking or added it at the table for over 30 years but I am now starting to reintroduce it. I often experience that dizzy feeling when I stand up too quickly & also following a DEXA scan a couple of years ago my bone density was found to be not as good as it could be, (I’m 11 years past menopause) so I think I may well be low in salt. I never knew it was so important for our health. It’s like we’ve been brainwashed to cut salt from our diets but sugar seems to be pushed on us constantly. I think I know which should be avoided! Thanks.

Thanks for such a fascinating talk. Incredible to think that a woman’s cycle basically incorporates the 4 seasons. As someone who is several years post menopause I wish this information had been out there many years ago but brilliant to be able to educate girls & women today. Following a couple of years of less good health I make sure I take time for myself with meditation & rest when my body tells me I need it without guilt or judgement. Great that Sally followed her intuition. Empowering stuff!

We do not allow children to smoke, or drink alcohol, but another deadly item found on our grocery shelves everywhere ~ Sugar. Also Dr. Robert Lustig did another talk that is recorded here on KZbin recently ~ Search: "Medical expert on healthy nutrition: Protect the liver and feed the gut." On the Canadian food labels, look at the nutritional list where it says the "Daily Value" and beside it, it shows the nutritional value of sugar is blank. That is because it doesn't have any value in our food. Getting the news out is important. Good book to is "Fat Chance" and I am pressing Dr. Lustig to write a second edition!! Hope Sainsbury's in the UK are still continuing to keep candy / sweeties away from the check outs and wish all shops and stores would follow suit. Easier for parents too while paying for your groceries or even adults having to see all that rubbish at the check out. Thanks from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Lustig does come to the UK and Canada to do lectures (but the COVID has stopped that for now). Stay safe everyone.

Dr. Robert Lustig MD (USA) you will see on the outside (red part on the cover) and inside the newer revised Editions was allowed by Dr. John Yudkin's (UK) son to update it a bit. Watch "The Secrets of Sugar ~ The Fifth Estate" (CBC production) and it will back up this book ~ Dr. Lustig is on there too. Happy Watching. Pure White and Deadly is a fantastic book. Wish he were still here to see his work isn't going in vain. They mocked John Yudkin terribly when he was alive. People are fed by the food industry which pays no attention to health and are treated by the health industry which pays no attention to food ~ Wendel Berry. Thanks for this video of yours ~ I am friends with Dr. Lustig.
